Honestly, there were a lot of deserving players today. Legwand and Ellis absolutely had excellent games. Lids doesn't deserve a star on account of his fluke goal, but he was outstanding defensively today. But it's hard for Drake and Ozzie to be both left out.

I never wash a jersey during the playoffs, and I'll be riding my Cleary sweater as long as the Wings go. But that's what works for me. My advice, if you must take off the Lids sweater, is to be a man and squeeze into the Ozzie sweater!

QFT. Great effort by the Preds and their fans and Ellis. Outstanding, clutch performance by the Wings. Nashville left it all on the ice, but the Wings outshot them 43-20 on the road with a chance to close it out. And we were right: the Wings couldn't be that dominant again and score only 1 regulation goal!

Nashville: Sidenote: I can say it now. Does anyone else thing Scott Hoch whiffing on that short putt to lose the tournament and ensure we didn't miss that start of our game prefigured Ellis whiffing on that center ice shot?

nvm: Sammy woulda missed the net by 12 ft, the puck woulda bounced off the boards to center ice and led to an odd man rush for the Preds. He did the smart thing eating that puck.
