Ok, while we await the start of the Minny-Avs game: who do you want to win, and who do you think does? I think the Avs close it out tonight on home ice. I can't actively root for Avs, but as long as SJ and Anaheim are both still alive I'd rather have the Avs advance to guarantee the Wings don't have to go through them both. The Avs are probably the easiest potential second round opponent and have the best travel schedule (except Dallas). And admit it, it would be kinda fun for old time's sake. Especially with the return of Mac, Foote, Floppa.

lol esteef, that second picture made me think of Office Space for whatever reason This might be the playoffs Franzen really steps it up and becomes an absolute force every night like Cleary did last year. (and let's hope the last night's game was an indication that Cleary is returning to form!)

That's interesting. I haven't spent much time in New York, but I'm sure your right. But I was in Istanbul a couple years ago, and despite the presence of several much better Turkish beers and the proximity of many, many infinitely superior European beers, a Turkish friend of mind would, I kid you not, order Miller every time when went out Anyway, didn't mean to derail the thread or start a beer war with an ill-advised attempt at humor. I think beer in general is delicious. Nice move by Plekanec there! Thomas' jock is hanging from the scoreboard on that one.

But the Wings' very best involves burying opportunities that no goalie can stop. The Preds can play better, but so can the Wings. Let's hope the Wings do bring Ellis their very best on Sunday.

Yes and no. You have to give credit where credit is due. His positioning is very sound and he's not giving up any soft goals. He's hot enough. But he's giving up juicy rebounds all series and the Wings only really capitalized on them in game 2. Nashville might have gained confidence, but they might also be deflated to lose that game in OT. The Wings need to come out with the same effort tomorrow but do a better job finishing and pouncing on rebounds.
