Wow, what an amazing night of hockey so far! Two series went from being all-but-over to alive and kicking. Now c'mon Flames!!!
-
Start of OT in Baastaan
-
They're showing the replays of the Avery-Brodeur thing on CBC, and I'm struck by two things: 1.) A *Rangers* player tried to shove Avery out of the front of the crease while the play was going, and, 2.) None of the Devils besides Brodeur did s***.
-
What a big OT in Boston. This will be absolutely crushing for the Bs to lose two games in a row in OT.
-
3:02 left in Boston, still tied!
-
The first two games of the Rangers-Devils series weren't the most exciting, and I want the Rangers to win the series, but I really hope the Devils extend it just in case things really turn ugly. A Brodeur-Avery throw down would be great.
-
I mean because the Bs are 0-10 against the Habs this year. If they can beat them once I think they might make a series of it. But until them the Habs are in their head.
-
Bs look desperate in their last chance to make a series of it. They just need to find a way to beat this team once.
-
Wow Richards that was nowhere close
-
Apparently Upshall has a "potty mouth" as well
-
The Caps are definitely an energy team. Looks like the Flyers are best keeping a lid on things the rest of the series, even if that isn't their normal game.
-
C'mon, Brashear v. Hartnell!
-
Geez, Ovechkin doesn't register a point for 2 periods and all the sudden he looks 'lost' and needs Mike Milbury to coach him to get his game back...
-
Good period from Philly, but you had to expect them to come out strong. The Caps were down two in game 1, though; it will be interesting to see if they can come back again.

No question you start Jiggy. If the Ducks still had Bryz you go to him, but while Hiller is a talented keeper he is young and no way do you throw him into the fire now. You ride the horse that brought you at this point. A few of the goals last night were a bit uncharacteristic of Jiggy, but he'll bounce back. Taking nothing away from Hiller, but without Jiggy going the Ducks aren't gonna go anywhere this year.

That was awesome! One of the coolest things I've seen in a building during the playoffs. As much as I hated to see the team move to Phoenix, I loved that they carried on the tradition when Phoenix was actually making the playoffs. They did this in Quebec as I recall as well.
-
No kidding! Between this and the Minny-Avs series, I think the Wings got jealous and really decided to open things up yesterday, at least for the first half of game 2
-
I've said this elsewhere but the Ducks are far from done. They've played terribly for the majority of two games and they can't continue to run up-and-down the ice with the Stars. They need to play into their strengths--goaltending and defence--and try to win games 1-0 and 2-1. That being said, the Stars have recent playoff failures to contend with, and a win or two by Anaheim could make this an entirely different series.
-
I'm gonna say Flames tonight. The Sharks are a good road team, but the Saddledome is never an easy place to go into and win a game. The Flames will win at least one of the next two games in Calgary.
-
Probably The Ducks did show for stretches of the game they can play with the Stars and even dominate them. When the game was tied the Ducks had Dallas pinned in their zone. But this isn't a team built to come from behind. This game was up-and-down the ice the whole way, whereas Anaheim needs to rely on their strengths--Jiggy (who was so-so tonight but will bounce back strong in game 3) and their defence--and try to win games 2-1 and 1-0.

Thanks for the video, Osgod!!! It was great for those of us stuck far, far away from the Joe in the spring.

Don't mess with a thing until Malts comes back. I've been a fan all year of splitting up ZDH for offensive balance, but I really believe in the Flip-Dano-Mule line. They are ready to click--especially once Flip and Dano get a goal and get some confidence back--and they are a big line that can play against anyone. Drake-Drapes-Mac was our best line in the first period.
