I was referring to him missing the game b/c of Ozzie (and Manny). But he's been amazing. Especially this game, considering it's his first game back after being out for awhile.

What's the big surprise? Teams scout each other all the time--especially if it involves a relatively short trip from Minny to Chicago to watch a couple of teams you might play in the first or second round. Sutter got an eyeful tonight, too, at least from the Wings.

This might be a bit of an overstatement, but I'd much rather face Chicago or Nashville in round one than the alternatives (Vancouver or Calgary). Regular season records mean nothing in the playoffs (remember the 1-3 record against SJ last year or, say, the 3-1 record against Colorado in 1996?). More important are the goalies, travel schedule, and the physicality of the opponent. I'll take a trip to Chicago against the Bulin wall over a trip to Western Canada to play Kipper or Luongo any day of the week.
