That's kinda what I hope happens. Just, when Ozzy falls through, I hope he's pulled in the first after allowing 4 in 14 minutes, then Legace lets up one tipped-in goal, but still gets the win as Draper gets a hat trick, and Kronwall puts in two in a 7-5 lamp-lighter.
-
Yes, but I hope that a clear #1 is established. A dual goalie system in the playoffs isn't a great idea.

Just, Dandy doesn't put up good numbers, and isn't considered to be an All-Star Candidate.

ozzy..

Either a ) You've been wearing Wings goggles for far too long or b ) Your name is Gary Greenstin. Yep. He seems to forget that Thornton fixes is more of what the Wings need, too.
-
Agreed. Just there needs to be a clear #1 going into the playoffs.

Even if the league doesn't stress tough play, a tough guy is always needed. Just someone to remind the flowery puck-handlers that skating with your head down is asking for a hit.

I wasn't saying he doesnt have the talent to score like that, i just meant he hasn't show-boated like that yet Yeah, I think he has the talent to do it, I wasn't commenting on the showboating. I was saying that I don't think that he's healthy enough to do it consistently.

You got it backwards... He beat Turco but was stoned by Roloson Oh, dammit, you're right. I remember now. I had some feeling that it was off....Well, thanks for the reminder.

It's such a damn shame that he was injured. He would have played in the NHL in 04-05, but now it's looking to be 06-07...
-
That's because he has played 48 games the last two seasons in Grand Rapids due to injuries. Nevertheless, Datsyuk's goal on Manny Fernadez, then the stopped attempt on Marty Turco was pretty bitchin'.

I wonder if the Rangers will deal Kindl if he doesn't play better. They traded Heshmatpour...

Big Snake's WHL team released him during their training camp, and no other WHL team wanted him. After he cleared waivers, Owen Sound, in the OHL, gambled on him, and they even sent him home during last season. He also got suspended just before the OHL playoffs for abusing on an on-ice official. There were many stories about Big Snake constantly breaking the team rules and being a bad influence in the lockroom. I saw Big Snake go after a linesman, trying to put him in the penalty box, at a Plymouth Whaler game. There's a reason he was signed in the UHL - remember this is the league that had a coach punch a player on the opposing team last season. -
McGrath actually has two years of eligibility remaining. As he was born in 1986, this is his expected, break-out year. However, as we saw last year, he is well on his way. Next year, as in 06-07, will be his last year of eligibility, as an over-ager. However, if the Red Wings sign him, and they ought to, he will 99% for sure NOT be back with the Rangers.
-
No doubt. When he plays a relatively injury-free season and puts up great numbers, he'll get a shot.

um.... no question. thornton. give me one good reason why not.

Dino's busy running the Sarnia Sting. But there's a bunch of rumors that he is selling the team to Dale Hunter, the current owner of the Memorial Cup Champion London Knights, who would in turn sell the Knights. The basis on that is that Hunter dealt a lot of the Knights' picks and young players to many teams, and Sarnia received many of them.

More Eklund: Wings in Bondra, Hamrlik talks?

He has a wife as well. Apparently, she's at the doctors. -
Legace is a solid goaltender, and knowing that he's the option behind sometimes flaky Osgood is a nice thing to know for any coach, player, and team.

I doubt it. Nolan's health is still in question, and though he believes he is ready to play for the Leafs, the Leafs are just about ready to dump him the cheapest way possible. The Wings, I think, would be foolish (an understatement) to take on Nolan's contract, currently over $5 million. Why take him for $5 mil. when they could get Datsyuk and Zetterberg for $6 million?

and with their first pick, the wings choose...
