What really keeps these jerseys fresh in our minds is the video games have it as an optional uniform. Even on XBox, I don't feel right using that uniform,..but to be honest, I would like to see it happen maybe once a season?

Look, I think it is a great point! I have Canadian buddies who always say and brag about Canadian players being better, but I do remind them that most of them are still chasing the American dollar playing on a USA NHL franchise team. Another funny note is a Canadian franchise has not won the Stanley Cup since Barry Melrose (of all people!) lost it to the Canadians in 1993 for heaven's sake! I remember when the Blue Jays were winning and Canadians were bragging how they are beating us at thier own game,....what do they have to say now? USA!

I feel that the layoffs between playoff games favors the Detroit Red Wings. Looking at the regular season when back to back games were played it seemed as if they had a hard time winnning both of those scheduled games no matter which team(s) it was against. I feel better about the Wings chances. Plus, this gives more viewing ability for one who might not have TIVO, and should help the league in numbers of perspective fans who stumble across an NHL Playoff Game on tv. Yes, it stinks that we must spend a week just to have two Red Wings playoff games, but if it equals wins,...I'm all for it! What do you all think?

It kills me too fellas, but I will take wins anyday. First round does not look like it will be a show-stopper this time,...at least it shoudn't be!

Telling ya folks, if these were back to back games,..the outcome would not have been the same. Yes I am a Red Wings fan, ...but the regular season indicates that they need rest between games,...which with this playoff format it is working well,.....VERY WELL! Wings up 2-0!

This is what has killed the team all season. Really looking forward to see how well this rest does for them. This is gonna be good!

What he did was hockey's fault in allowing this type of revenge I hate to say. I think he is now a bit gun shy and hope it doesn't keep him from "playing his game"! He is a great player however!

I'm sure we would love it if he came back, and who knows, he could be motivated enough to do well if he were to come back to HOCKEYTOWN? Thank God I recorded so much Red Wings hockey!
