Also keep in mind, last year Hudler's and Filppula's ESTOI was identical. 100% identical. Pro-rate Hulder's ES Point totals to Filppula's ES TOI and you get the exact same number. Also keep in mind that Filppula was playing not only playing with similar, if not worse (like I said, hulder would play in the top 6 last year), linemates, he also played in all situations, not just the kind of situations that Hudler would play in (ie Filppula played in non-scoring situtaions, something Hudler never would do).

Hudler played with Zetterberg and Hossa a lot, along with a lot of PP time (he was 3rd in PP time for forwards). It's not like if he was out he was only playing with Maltby and Draper.

Hudler wouldn't be close to that pace here in the NHL.

You don't need to get all defensive. Zetterberg shouldn't be just "almost a PPG player" and his 6 goals since he's been back and only 15 on the year isn't good enough for him. He is underachieving. And okay, you didn't think Bertuzzi was going to produce much. So you have a forward who doesn't produce, an underachiever and and an average player. What does this result in? A second line that doesn't produce.

You like 2 underachieving forwards and Cleary on our second line? I'd like them to get rid of Lebda or Meech and May instead of get rid of Williams.
