Well, by the end of the month we'll have played all those teams, and some other good ones. So we'll see how true that is. But it's safe to say that if we can't get 4 wins out of the next 6 games, people might have to start dealing with the fact that we might miss the playoffs. The next 6 games are make or break, and I hope the wings realize that and play their asses off.

Absolutely. I love Maltby, and while I think this should be his last year, it will be sad to see him go. We have to many up-and-comers to keep him, but he does bring a lot to the team.

It doesn't need to be imaginative or creative when it's true. Osgood has a horrible five hole, it's indisputable. Hasek was one of the best goalies of all time but 2 years ago he just couldn't hack it anymore. Osgood has been a great goalie but his time is coming. Maybe if Osgood gets 10 straight starts he can do as well as Howard is now but it's still only a maybe and we have a definite in Howard, and that's who needs to get the starts because we can't waste points. If it's still a battle to stay in the playoffs and Howard is in net it's almost impossible to not have him start the playoffs. This is the reality. Osgood has had a great career and he still may be great, but we can't afford to test that.

Honestly, I just can't fathom why people think Filppula should be on the third line. It's not a coincidence that the only two goals we score is when he's on the ice.

The caps are playing good right now but if we play 60 minutes we should have this game. And I'll go on a limb and say Filppula will score a goal!
