Too bad he just can't cut it as a second line center. (/s) -
I'm not trying to bash Z, but just because you think you're so smart: based on Zetterberg's current goals per game, even if he played 82 games he wouldn't get even 25, let alone 30. He missed 8 games, not half a season. His lack of goal scoring has nothing to do with injury and you're a fool if you think otherwise. Prior to his injury he went 9 games without a goal. Don't call me an idiot and then say you're not worried about Z's goal scoring. And OH I'M SO SORRY I overlooked Franzen who has played 3 games this season. So people say that our PP is horrible so we need Hudler back, and I say that we need goals so Frolov, a 30 goal scorer last season would be nice. And while both of those shortcomings of our team are based (at least somewhat) off injury, only I'm the idiot?

I thought this game was guaranteed.

Cold or not, Osgood should not have let those first 2 goals he let in. Playoff experience or not, if Osgood doesn't seriously outshine Howard then you can't make a logical argument to start Osgood.
-
Do you actually think that will happen? The dressing room will be quiet, everyone will walk out with their heads down, and they'll probably play like s*** again against Carolina.
-
Well, to be brutally honest, at his goals per game right now, even at 82 games he wouldn't score 25.
-
I hope they make a big deal of this.
-
And then you'll be able to have the banenrs for Drapes and Maltby too.
-
Not sure how much it would cost but after a quick google search: http://bigsigns.com/championship-banners-p-60.html

I hope he listens! All babcock moments are my favorite moments.

I definitely thought Osgood would start tomorrow. I can't blame Babs, but jeeze. -
Raging? 30 goals a subpar year? I don't think there is any evidence to suggest that Frolov is declining. Yes, he seems to be having an off year, but so are a lot of players, and on this team even. I think it's illogical to think that he won't still be better than Hudler as he has been. (as he has been in every step of his career, both paralleling their 1st, 2nd, 3rd seasons and the past few years) Last year he had 30 goals, that's pretty good. On this team we barely have any 20 goal scorers, let alone 30.

I'd say looking into a crystal ball and saying that there is no doubt Hudler will "easily outscore" Frolov's career numbers is much more ridiculous than bringing out proven numbers. But I love how pedantic you're being (www.dictionary.com). You really think that my entire argurment revolves around Frolov's career PPG? Again: you said that Hudler "easily beats" Frolov in the point production department based on what might happen in the future: not a very strong claim. I'm telling you that Frolov has proven himself to be better than what Hudler has thus far proven for himself. But, both of their first 3 years has similar point totals (And Hudler only beat Frolov in the third year because he played 13 less games), but obviously I know your "less ice time and inferior linemates" argument is coming, so I'll ask you in advance: Do you know Frolov's icetime and who he played with in his first years in the NHL? No,.I'm absolutely sure that you don't. Anyway my point being is that just for you, I'll call the point production thing a wash. I thought you might have gotten that the first two times around, so let's hope that the third time is the charm. Insulting me isn't the same just stating the fact that 2.8 million is less than 3.5-4 million. You also haven't seen me saying "OMG GUYS YEAH I TOTALLY KNOW HOLAND IS GOING TO TELL HUDLER TO f*** OFF AND AND HE'LL SIGN FROLOV YOU WATCH I KNOW". I'm just saying what I want to happen, not what I think will happen. In fact if I had to guess, I'd say Holland does keep Hudler if he returns and doesn't sign Frolov. But that doesn't mean that is what I want to happen or what I think is best. and +2 points for bring out worthless 4chan bulls***.

Wow that was a really good one! you're definitely right about hudler now! In fact, can you teach me to write such zingers? Actually, I'm just kidding. Hudler's "PPM" is marginally better than Frolov's at both ES and PP (and at such small margin's it's completely asinine to take any stock in those numbers). I would hardly consider that "easily outscored" Frolov. You sure do like to exaggerate. And what relevance does what he's on pace for have? Datsyuk is on pace for 70 points, pretty low for him. So maybe it's possible for players to have off seasons, how does that grab you? And when I mention Frolov's PPG, I only mention it to say that Hudler doesn't "easily beat" Frolov in the point production category by any stretch of the imagination. Proven is better than what you think could happen. Again, the exaggerating thing. Oh and LEARN CONTEXT & COMPREHENTION "LULZ" Anyway I'm bored now. I hope you enjoy yourself if you reply.
-
So based only on a chance that Hudler will continue to get better and grow, he easily wins the point production category despite Frolov's career PPG (.71) murdering Hudler's? (.49) and having had a 71 point season? Frolov will do better on our second line that Hudler. Not debatable. bigger. Faster. Proven. Your defensive prognosis is I'm sure based off absolutely nothing. Frolov is faster and much, much bigger than Hudler (ie +physicality). Not only that, he plays on the PK! Last year he had 187 minutes on the PK. Anyone want to guess Hudler's PK time last season? Anyone? Anyone? uhh........49 seconds. Attitude? HUDLER JUST LEFT FOR RUSSIA! Salary. Yes, good math skills: 2.8 is in fact less than 3.5-4. Frolov > Hudler.
-
Leino is damn near out of the lineup, Frolov was benched one game; no comparison. He has 27 points on the season (more than all but 2 of our players) and is a 20 goal scorer. He would be a great addition to our 2nd line and could probably be signed for 3.5-4m. I'd take him.
-
I'm not saying it won't happen, just that I don't want it to. Hudler could decide to come back before any free agents are even obtainable (ie before July 1st). It's not a one way street for Hulder you know, if he decides to come back the wings have to honor his contract just as much as he does. So if hudler wants to come back, it's either not sign any good free agents or trade him. I'm hoping for the latter.
-
Because it would be at the expense of better players the wings could sign to the second line. Namely Frolov.
-
There is a reason he's only making 2.75. He's great on the PP but won't perform on the second line.
-
If he comes back I hope we trade him (I'm sure he'd be good trade bait, esp if included in a larger deal). He is a good player and his cap hit isn't bad but I'd rather spend the money we have on a bonafide second liner scorer.
