Filppula made space for Cleary just as much as Lidstrom did. But Lidstrom is a complete player and Filppula is lost in the offensive zone. Yeah, obviously cleary had an awesome shot there, but that play doesn't happen if Flip is not on the ice. Count on it. You don't need to say anything negative about him for anyone to see how obviously biased you are against him.

Absolutely not. Filppula could have 30 goals and 40 assists and would still shrug Filppula off as third liner.

Nope. Filppula scored 17 points in 73 games, that's .233 points per game. Leino has 7 points in 38 games, .184 ppg (Not even 14 points over 73 games, still less than Flip). Even if he plays in every single game for the rest of the year (except tomorrow because we know he's not playing) That gives him 14 points, but I'm sure that won't happen. And this is not even bringing in +/-. -

I feel bad for Leino, but he does look useless out there. -
Why is it relevant what the scoring leader gets in goals? That doesn't really say anything. There are potentially 6 50 goals scorers this year, 4 actually being on pace (the other 2 are very close).
