Agreed. Refs need to be able to call penalties off, regardless of which one called it, and leave their egos behind. It's ridiculous.

I do too. While Filppula is no helm or Abdelkader in terms of physicality, Filppula has definitely been using his body, checking well and often initiates contact when someone is trying to check him. Overall Filppula is looking like a seriously complete, 2 way forward. The next few years should be very exciting for him.

Tbh, unless either line looks really good at the beginning of the game, I'd trying switching Bert and Z and see what happens.

The NHL.com stats page shows he hasn't play at all this year (except for his time here). Is that just a mistake or why isn't he playing?

Well he very well may split them all up once Franzen gets back (which frankly I don't think will happen...but that's a whole-nother discussion) but I don't think he will until that happens. Like I said, he starts with them split, and then he'll start playing them together, not generally the other way around.

I don't see him doing that at all, he generally goes the opposite direction. For example last playoffs Filppula started on the third with Dats and Z split up, low and behold in the finals ZDH were back together and Flip was centering a line with Hossa and Franzen. He'll change them for sure, but he won't split them into 3 lines.

LOL, but that's not funny. As for the lines I wonder if Babs will put Bert with Z and Cleary and Keep Filppula with Datsyuk. He seems to like to run with lines when they produce so who knows. Bert and Datsyuk were split up last night. And I guarantee he won't put Filppula on the third line at least until Franzen is back (if at all).

It was a true red letter day for me. And really I just didn't understand that part of your post. Anyone will tell you that we lost the game regardless of camp, because, well, we did.
