I'd like the wings to go after Frolov and a good third line center so Flip can play ont he second line with Frolov and Franzen and Z/Pav can play with Cleary. We don't need a new defenseman.

Teams needs their offensive defensemen to produce like they should just as much as they need their forwards to produce like they should. Lidstrom shouldn't get a free pass on his offensive production just because his name is Lidstrom, the fact is that he is on pace for a third of the points he produced last season and less than a quarter of the goals, and that's not good.

^ LOL I just did the same thing, except I still had hope at 3-1, didn't fast forward until 4-1. Then at 10 minutes left of the third I knew the wings wouldn't score so I just checked NHL.com. This defense is horrible.

Then... You act like you're the only one bringing up stats. And you do realize that games in the playoffs are more intense and physical, right? Such that maybe his injury didn't get worse, butt he effects are felt more?

So not letting up the fact that Hossa had a bad playoffs for his standards with a dislocated shoulder when not even Datsyuk could produce isn't hammering something down you throat? And it's not like Hossa is making twice Franzen's salary. It's less than a 1.5 million difference, which is less than the difference between having Bertuzzi and not. Oh no.

Or the difference between playoff games and regular season games.
