And economic problems? No such thing. People are just realizing money isn't everything and there are smiles all around.

Any fanbase that has fans that come onto boards of other teams fans and be audacious enough to say that that teams sucks because they lost 2 games in Sweden after their own team has sucked for decades gets the title of worst fans in the league. We endue this type of s*** regularly from Chitown fans. Yeah, is Chicago a nicer city than Detroit? I'm sure, but the Blackhawks will never have the success the Red Wings have had over the last 2 decades.

That you don't know much? Filppula is better at holding on to and retrieving the puck than 80% of the league.

You do realize we won a cup when Datsyuk and Zetterberg were playing together and Filppula was centering the second line, right? I guarantee we have just as much depth, if not more, than that cup winning team.

That's what I'm saying, Datsyuk and Z should be together. To rank our forwards: 1/2. Z/Pav (Un-respectively) 3. Franzen. 4. Filppula 5. Cleary (I'm sure there are people who think that Cleary is better than Flip, but Cleary has played with Zetterberg and Datsyuk A LOT and his point totals represent that, Flip basically never plays with either) Put all of them in the top 6 and pop Holmstrom in with Z and Pav. That is out best top 6, period. We can get by with what we have on our bottom six without Filppula pretty well, but a trade for a defensively-solid third line center would be good.

We have an incredibly deep team regardless. Our top six is better with Filppula than without. Unfortunately that does leave a small weakness in the third line center, but that is why I said maybe the Wings could shop for one.

This team is at it's best with Zetterberg and Datsyuk together.

I wonder if we could see the wings looking for a solid third line center for the deadline to make the team look better when Filppula is centering the second line.

Because they care about beating us.

I think we have such good young players and depth it's stupid to be so thin on the top 6. Filppula is our 4th best forward, and to have 3 players playing above him, who aren't as good as him, is silly. Well have a lot of depth and should make use of it. Datsyuk Zetterberg Holmstrom Franzen Filppula Cleary Bertuzzi Draper Williams Any mix of Eaves, Helm, Maltby, May, Miller, Leino will be good.

Filppula was wearing the A in the pre-season, I'd except him to at least be in a rotation. (Rotation of assistant captains, Z with the obvious captaincy)

Every team in the league has at least one huge goal scoring game per season. I wouldn't read much into the fact that we scored 9 goals in one game. That said, we still have a very good offense, though not as good as last year.

Honestly it really did look intentional, and pretty harsh. A suspension wouldn't surprise me.
