The Bobby Orr franzen was was so freaking sweet I had to choose it. The datsyuk goal off Hossa's assist was a close second. That's such a superstar play.

I completely disagree about Flip's "key-ness" to the team. With ZDH together, as they should be, there is no one to center the second line. Franzen needs to play wing. Hudler is a poor center for the second line. That leaves Flip. -

He's #9 on the Wings in terms of ES scoring. And I wouldn't even class him as a relatively strong defensive player. He isn't a liability, but is isn't much better than that. I remember at least one stupid play where he could have made a short pass inside the Wing's zone but instead tried to pass it up the middle and turns it over and whoever it was we were playing had a great chance and nearly scored. -

Cleary doesn't look as good as he did lat year. It's kinda of disappointing. Still love him though. If he left it wouldn't be the end of the world though. Stu is to be kept. End. -

Note that his agent didn't say he was going nowhere. It's the author who asid that. Although Hossa's agent does allude to him staying. -

Discounts are for the cap hit, not the total payout. Players give discounts to help the team sign other plays and fit under the cap, it's not like a charity thing. -

He is a professional athlete who has earned millions of dollars playing in the NHL. Being criticized comes with the territory. I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make with your well, well-overdone sarcasm. No one except the true crazies, which aren't relevant anyway, think that he should just bow his head in shame and never try to improve his play. That said, Osgood has looked great recently and if he can continue to play as he has I like our chances very, very much.
