We should ride osgood for 5 or so more games, if he doesn't show improvement then we need to throw all our eggs in the conklin basket. If conklin fails, god help us.

Last season Osgood and Hasek had extremely similar, league leading stats. Hasek never was absolutely horrible like osgood has been this season. They're two similar situations with completely different circumstances. Conklin's stats are head and shoulder's over Osgood's this year. In 07/08, Osgood's stats were never head and shoulder's above Hasek's. Do you see what I'm saying or should I repeat the same thing in different ways over and over?

There is a difference between being a fair weather fan and being passionate about winning. None of us (at least not myself) are going to never watch a red wings game again if we don't win the cup. THAT is what a fair weather fan is, only rooting for a team when they're winning. I'm a Red Wings fan through and through, if we turned into the islanders I'd still not be able to not watch the wings play. You're not a fair weather fan just because you get mad when your team losses for whatever reason. If anything it makes you a "truer" fan for being more passionate about a team. We WANT to win every year and though we know we're not going to if there is such a glaring hole in your team as osgood is it's frustrating.

I have little doubt it was said many, many times last season. Don't act like Osgood is the only goalie to ever get bashed on this website. Hasek received the same and worse. Probably by you.

You're right, anyone critical of osgood's league worst (this year) performance is obviously stupid. I'm sure you could put Luongo or Brodeur or even miller or nabokov in osgood's place and they'd have the worst stats in the league as well.

And all goalies slide out of the net for no apparent reason to let a puck traveling an inch per hour in as well? hmm, not sure. Yeah, his stellar play this year absolutely makes up for his average at worst play tonight.

No. That had nothing to do with the defense at all. Osgood let a huge rebound right to the stick of another player and slides out of the net for no ******* reason. That is 100% osgood.

It's not like he had any in the regular season last season. He'll start his physical paly in the playoffs, don't worry. That's when Kronner and Stuart will shine, when it matters.

Let's pretend for a second that Ken Holland is pretty good at what he does and his prediction that flip will become an extremely talented scoring/2 way forward in like 2 years is correct. He'll be better than both hudler and franzen. Is he worth the wait?
