Hank will resign for 7.45-8 mil per season. Count on it. HE won't get more than 8 million. Obviously he's going to offer a bit high, but then he'll come down.
-
Well, it was a good game for the spectators.
-
I love this team. I hate this team.
-
Maybe you should take notes?
-
I hope not. The wings can't play in every winter classic.

I LOVE you. Whatever would be higher quality, doesn't matter to me. -

For seriously does no one know? -
I also noticed that it's odd that he got less ice time than everyone but like 3 or 4 players.

Is lilja not playing? -
Crosby is a cheap shotting *****, he does it all the time when they're losing. Slashing, crosschecking, ***** punches, etc. You name it, he does it when the Pens are losing.

Teach the sharks what it means to be an elite team. f*** yeah.

Mats Sundin Signs With Vancouver Canucks

Haha I'm happy. Our record would have been ever worse against them. They're a force I think in the west. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the WCF -
Though I'd rather beat them when they're rested and ready, hopefully the wings can take advantage of the Sharks played the night before. 5-4 wings.

I'm 100% under the belief that Kopecky is kept as a wing because it increases whatever chance we have of keeping Hossa significantly. It's worth it in my book.
-
What is the problem for you? No one is against fighting, no one is against enforcers. We're against the one dimensional play of Downy. Why is that so hard to follow? And for the record, I live in "detroit", I've been a fan of the wings since I can remember, and I go to multiple games at the Joe each season. No one loves going to the Joe more than me (caveat: I'm not saying everyone loves going less than me...). So far this year I went to the New Jersey game, where Mccarty got in a fight. Despite being a boring fight and McCarty losing, I was absolutely on my feet the entire time (something that can't be said of 80% of the arena). I like fighting, just not at the expense of other aspects of the game. That is the WHOLE point.

I think we won something like 16 games in the playoffs if I recall correctly without a fight. I guess we're still able to win without fight. A magical concept, I know. From the article: How can you not understand that? The problem with Downey is that he is only good at fighting, nothing else. He doesn't play in the third period. He doesn't play when it's a tight game. I'd rather have a player that can do that than just fight. That's the whole thing. There is no such thing as the "anti-enforcer" crowd. It's not pro-enforcer v anti-enforcer, it's pro-one dimensional player v anti-one dimensional player. Downey is a one dimensional player. He doesn't fit. End. of. story.

Go back and read some of my other posts, that's not what I'm saying. Having a Martin Lucic would be awesome, but it's not as easy as just saying we want him. I'm not against "having any muscle", but Downey isn't the answer to all our problems like some people think. However I would be in favor of putting Downey in over Kopecky.
-
Hey the sharks are down 2-0 in the first. Hmmm.
-
The fact that you consider McCarty an enforcer is hysterical. He couldn't enforce a toddler. Regardless, in his prime, McCarty was able to fight AND play. Downey is good only for fighting. Players like that have no place in the playoffs. Fact. Downey had nothing to do with winning the cup, guaranteed. If Downey had never existed, the playoffs would have gone the EXACT same. No one in the locker room was thinking "man, what would downey do right now". Any team toughness was a result of hunger for the cup.
-
Tme when it matters is the playoffs. I don't remember Downey playing in the playoffs. When I say I'd rather have hossa, I mean over someone other than downey. Holland may have been able to sign someone like I descibied during the off season, but at the expense of Hossa. Not worth it. That's what I'm saying.
-
Excellent post. Anyone who thinks without donwey we wouldn't have won the cup (or even would have had a harder time) is delusional. Downey brings nothing come the time when it matters. Sorry. Would it be great to have a tough player who fights, plays physical and hits AND plays well, absolutely. But we don'tn have on, and downey isn't one. Either way, I'd rather have hossa.

I'd love to see clowe in a wings uniform.
