That's exactly it. Hudler won't produce like people think he will on the second line because he's up against better players.
-
Black jerseys, what a surprise. Maybe it's just me, and it probably is, but I just cna't help but associate "black jersey" with "goon"
-
Hudler doesn't perform on the 2nd line, we see it over and over again. He's well suited for where he plays, on the 3rd/4th line and the 1b PP unit. Hudler has 10 PP points which is extremely respectable and he leads the wings along with Lidstrom, so don't get me wrong. BUT, Take away his PP points and he has 6 points for .33 P/G..which is behind a lot of people. Jesus give it up already.

Unfortunate that we let them come back to 3-4, but I'm more than happy with the win.
-
This team is just unbeleivable when they're playing their best.

So happy to get the SO and a 4 goal win. This is red wings hockey.

That is such an amazing goal by franzen. This guy really is for real.
-
Playing them just got a lot easier.

Johan Franzen is one of the NHL's top 20 forwards.

You think Franzen deserves as much credit as 26 poin having, league leading semin? I think that's a bit far... Like the person above me said, most of his goals come from tap ins from other players. He's definitely a great player, top 50 probably, but not top 20. -
It's hard to think anything other than "wow" in complete awe when it comes to Hossa. He's incredible.

I was getting worried there... -
Can't help but laugh a little, though I do feel bad for him.

Exactly, it was going to be a s***ty situation anyway you move the two, but they made the best move by staying with their men and giving the shooter one path that we all knew he was going to take, straight to the net for ozzie to make the save.
-
They weren't just staring...they covered the other players who were also in prime position for scoring a goal. It's not the best situation to be in and that can be looked at (how it came to it) but the defense played it right after he got the puck. People may not like to admit it but that is a clutch save a good goalie is expected to make, and ozzie didn't come to the challenge.
-
Any questions?
-
Go away.
-
It's similar to a 2 on 1. The defenseman needs to cover the player without the puck and leave the player with the puck to the goalie. This is the same thing. The lighting had two players in perfect position for a pass/one timer, and the defensemen covered them, and left the player with the puck to the goalie. Ozzie needs to make those saves. It went right through the rive hole, that can't happen like that.
-
The defense played it right, ozzie should have stopped that.
