The entire team did s***. 2 players on the wings had more points than Flip. Sure, he didn't get on the scoreboard often, but he hustled, battled and worked his ass off every shift. You can't deny that. Also, I'm pretty sure this game would have went 2-0 early if it wasn't for Fil's stellar defense.

Wouldn't have made a difference. We couldn't score a goal. Maybe the series goes 6 games at best. We just had no offense.

I'm not saying the problem is Datsyuk and Zetterberg, I'm just saying there is no denying that they're not the beasts of 07, 08 and 09. Look at how many shots Datsyuk misses. He's still a great player, I'm jsut saying our offense is not nearly as good as it used to be.

Huh? You just described his play. Of the forwards not named Datsyuk and Zetterberg, he's be our best (or least mediocre). He's always strong on the puck, battling and play hard. He's not getting on the score board but that isn't to say he's playing bad. Now he isn't playing great either, but who on the team is? He's still playing a hell of a lot better than Hudler, Bertuzzi, Cleary and Franzen.

Babcock isn't the problem and Holland isn't the problem. The problem is that Datsyuk and Zetterberg aren't the players they used to be and Franzen is a no show. Hudler isn't sucking but he certainly isn't playing great (though props for his goal tonight). Filppula is playing solid but can't carry the team. The simple fact is that our team has little offensive strength anymore.

That's not saying much.

The sky is blue, something else everyone knows, and the Red Wings don't have a legit sniper.

I wonder how many Blues players have played in a game over 80 minutes. Experience will be a major factor here. Love OT hockey. (just not when it's the Wings)

Nashville played a great game. Could have been a lot worse. Looking forward to the next game.

Where are you getting this? What GM would have ZERO interest in a player like Hossa? And did he sign him or not? Don't be stupid, of course Holland was interested in Hossa but he probably never though Hossa would sign a one year contract.

This would be the conversation if he was actually injured: Babcock: "Cleary isn't doing anything for our team. If it's because he's injured, I think we should have him rest up and get healthy so he can be a good player for us." Holland: "Ok" .... later that day .... Babcock: "Danny, your injury is seriously affecting your play so we're going to have to heal up so you can positively affect the team" Cleary: "Ok" Obviously that hasn't happened. And Cleary used to work hard. He doesn't do s*** anymore.
