You're just being dumb. We're at the top of the standings. You can't be there with ZERO chance of a Stanley Cup. Also, do I need to recant the tales of us losing to horrible teams in 07-08? It's one gamee, in January, before the all star break. Stop crying so hard. s***, this has probably been our best January in years, not to mention demolishing breaking a franchise record. -

Cool. I would have preferred San Jose, but I guess you can't argue against the Original 6 match up. Let's just hope we have a more wintery winter here in MI next year though. -

Good game. I can't get over Hudler's little leg kick though 30 feet from the net. Does he really think he's fooling anyone with that? Too bad Filppula didn't score in the shootout, but I was just as excited to see Babs give him a shot in the top 3. Hopefully he gets some more shots in the future, at least he was trying to be a bit creative with it. -

I think I'd rather see Mursak on the second line with Cleary on the third. -
It's an overpayment in that the player for whom we would be trading for is not playing as good, right now, as the player we would be trading in payment. This plus a top prospect and a first round pick. Ryan may be a better player than Filppula, but not top prospect and first round pick better, even taking into account age. He could be had for less. Although I concede this just may be my bias talking. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Although I'm not really in the know or anything, the cap coming down seems counter-intuitive to me with the economy getting better which seems to me that revenues would continue increasing, or at least not dropping.

Filppula plus a top prospect and a first would be an over payment for Ryan. Hudler would be more suitable in that deal. And Holland would never trade Filppula for a player that is a UFA in the summer and who we have a great chance at signing. It will never. Happen. Guaranteed. Yeah, because scoring 5 more points and 6 more goals in the next 41 games is really unlikely for Filppula.

Where would we be without Filppula this year? From Game #1, he's been our best forward. Since Datsyuk got it in gear he's been #2. Our only untouchable forwards IMO are Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Filppula.
