Z and D for the C

I think it's the manner of the losses, not the losses themselves. Not that I'm panicking or complaining, just saying. Though Zetterberg needs to get his s*** together.

Suffice to say, Datsyuk and Zetterberg together isn't working, and it kills me to say that. I'd try putting Zetterberg with Flip and Franzen and have Hudler and Pav with anyone but Cleary.

In back to back games, teams put their best goalie out on the night with the best chance to win, and that is the first night, regardless of the opponent. That way you play the best team possible to give you the best chance of getting at least one win. If you try to backup against a weaker team the first night, you run a higher chance of going 0-2.

It has nothing to do with Filppula. I just can't stand people who somehow take pride in being a douchebag and having people hate them. Both in real life or on the internet. Clear indicator of personal issues. But yeah, let's talk about Filppula. Great start for him so far and will likely get better. Pretty much the most impressive Wing thus far, shift in shift out. He's creating a ton of scoring chances and showing some slick moves. Has anyone noticed, though, that sometimes Franzen is taking the faceoffs when he's out with Flip and Hudler? I'd like to know what's behind that. Especially being that he's 60%+ in faceoffs and Franzen is in the 30s.

Just wanted to say that I was definitely wrong to count out Hudler so quick. He's been real solid so far these past three games and hopefully him, Filppula and Franzen can keep it going all year together.

This team has been absolutely perfect these first three games. Every player has been good, many have been great. Couldn't be happier.

Right, obviously if Flip is going to be a center and Z and Pav are going to be split up, then Filppula will be centering the third line. That's the argument though, Flip is good enough to center the second line (and even more, who wouldn't be comfortable with Flip centering the first line with both Z and Pav were out for a few games?) so our team is best with Datsyuk and Zetterberg together on the top line. Especially given that they're not the players they were 3-4 years ago.

If that went in I probably would have had a heart attack.
