Sorry, but that's Osgood's fault for being out so far.

Because it's Miller time. It's always Miller time.

It's weird what happens when he plays with players who actually try to score.

lol, I think Fil was happy to get an assist there.

    Should Valtteri Filppula be traded?

Any realistic deal for Filppula will include a center. If he is included in a trade for Hossa, we have no one to center the second line. Datsyuk and Zetterberg are barely good enough to play together and be dominate like we need them to be, let alone separated.

OF COURSE SOMEONE WAS OPEN SOMEONE IS ALWAYS OPEN THIS LOSS IS FILPPULA'S FAULT FOR NOT MAKING A MIRACULOUS PASS FOR A BREAKAWAY THAT WOULD WIN THE GAME ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE EGGS ARE TOO YELLOW AND POTATOES BACON

Datsyuk out 4-5 weeks with broken bone in hand

Hudler will never play center on this team. Accept it and move on.

To get s*** on the way he is with the lines I'd have an entire beach in my ******. Flip has been ten times better than Bert, yet Bertuzzi is now playing on the PP and EV with Zetterberg and Cleary while Flip got demoted to playing with Eaves and Abdelkader. Granted, that is probably an upgrade considering how Franzen and Bert were playing before.

I love how Bertuzzi has been absolute s*** the past 10 games yet he gets the PP spot over Filppula.

I'd like to see Clears and Bert switched.

I know what the numbers are. The marginal differences are irrelevant. Franzen's marginal difference are marginally higher because he plays with Datsyuk on the first PP. Just watch the game and you'll see that Franzen and Bert are under performing and while Filppula may not be playing to the best of his ability (And I mean that literally, I'm not implying he isn't playing well - he is), he is getting no help out there. I also got no rebuttal to my rebuttal in the last GDT.

I'll give you Karen Newman, but Budd is part of the experience. When he dies, I hope they continue to play recordings of his announcements as long as the Joe stands. Same goes for the Hey Hey Hockeytown song.

You go to hell. Budd is one of my favorite parts of going to the Joe.

No, of course he hasn't. If he actually watched Filppula instead of just looked at the box score after every game, he wouldn't say the stupid s*** about him that he does.

I don't think they're necessarily not a dump and chase line, I just think Bert and Franzen are showing little to no effort.

That was exactly what is wrong with the second line. Stuart rims it around, and Bert comes to it and just gives the opposing player a ***** little poke check. They're not battling.

Malkin had 19 points in 14 games coming into the Finals, where he then had 3 points in 6 games. I'd say that's shutting him down pretty effectively.

It's funny because the past 4 years, the playoffs have always ended with Zetterberg and Datsyuk on the same line, with Filppula centering the second line. In fact, what was that one year in 2008 when we one the Stanley Cup with Filppula centering the second line completely shutting down Malkin? Oh yeah, 2008. 3 years ago. One season removed from his rookie season. Or how about when Filppula put up a 57 point pace during the 09 playoffs when he barely played half the games on the second line. Or how about last playoffs when he put up 9 points in 12 games (62 point pace) when, for half the games, he had a broken rib and probably was hurting to breathe, let alone score? Or the first 7 games of this season when he had 7 points. Obviously he hasn't kept near that pace since then, but it's not that Filppula isn't playing consistently, Franzen and Bert have just done s***. How many goals has Franzen scored this year that weren't perfect setups from Fil or Pav that were on an open net? And you don't get 8 points in 3 games without being skilled offensively, period. Obviously he's never going to match anything close to that pace, but it happened nevertheless. It wasn't an accident that it happened. Or when he put up 16 points in 20 games after he came back from injury last year playing with Miller, Abdelkader, Leino and Cleary? A wrist injury, no less. I've never played hockey since I was really young, so I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure having strong wrists are pretty important. Seriously, if you want to argue that he isn't going to reach his potential and skill level consistently, that is one thing. But to say that he doesn't have offensive talent or the potential, it's just absolutely stupid. And when gcom says that he doesn't even know where to be in the offensive zone, it's completely retarded.
