Our goalie sucking isn't luck.

This. He plays like Hasek except sucks at it. He lost us the last game we played in and he lost us this one, in both game modes. He overplays pucks and is constantly out of position, I can't stand that in a goalie. I guess resting Howard was more important than winning this game, but I'm still pissed because we needed this win to stay ahead of Columbus.

I saw this on facebook and it got me thinking...has anyone noticed that the NHL doesn't seem to worship Crosby as much anymore? At least in their marketing/website. Maybe it's just me.

I want to play Pittsburgh not because it would be easier but because I think it would be fun as s***.

I think at this point it's a given we're going to make the playoffs. I'm more interested in whether or not we hold that 7th spot, which we're battling Columbus for. Our remaining games are pretty similar. We play Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Carolina and St Louis. Columbus plays Phoenix, Dallas, Tampa and Florida. Phoenix and Dallas are fighting for the playoffs and only one will make it, so they'll be pretty desperate so I'm hoping those are hard games for Columbus. Florida should be a win and it's hard to say for Tampa. I think they'll get at least 4 points, but not 7. I think we can beat Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Carolina but then maybe choke against St Louis, but on the other hand its the last game of the season so that could be used to our advantage if we're not clearly separated from Columbus. I'm expecting 6 points. I just really want to play Pittsbrugh in the first round.

For a GM that just lost two franchise players in a very short period of time (through no fault of his own), Yzerman is doing pretty great. I know what you're saying, but I think why people here like him so much is that he has the balls to make big moves and shake things up to improve the team. And those moves are working. And the staff responsible for our incredible drafting goes way way deeper than just Ken Holland.

HKS, the firm design the new arena, came to my school for a career fair and I talked to them and asked a little about the wings arena. He didn't give me any details but he said that the Detroit office was in charge of designing the exterior but had to give that part back to the Dallas office because they were too busy with other things. He said that they gave the Dallas office a tour of Detroit architecture for it could be designed relevant to Detroit. No juicy info, but it was still cool to hear from the horses mouth (is this how that expression is used?) that it's getting there.

Gotta say Franzen is really looking great. I hope he continues this once the rest of our team comes back.

So we need better forwards, better defensemane and a better goalie? It's a bold plan, you'll make a lot of enemies, but I think it just might work.

Neither do I. Pav and Z are great, but are they as great as Nick, Steve or Gordie Howe? Not really. Really? Will they do anything they haven't done? Lets face it, the best part of Datsyuk and Zetterberg's years are behind them.

I don't think it's a stretch at all. The Blackhawks cruised to the cup after beating us. Obviously anything can happen, but the best team Chicago beat was us. If only Filppula didn't get injured.....

If we beat Chicago we would have won the won. At the very least more than likely would have.

We could have said that at this point last year and we came within one OT goal of winning the cup.

Kenny is probably the one who demands the player have a NTC.

I'd be happy with a solid defenseman and Kesler would be awesome.

Given our luck with injuries and his luck with injuries, he'd probably get hit by a runaway bus before he stepped foot into the Joe.
