It's not like in 08 when this team was kicking ass the entire season and then went on a slump for an entire month and still won the President's trophy. This team sucked starting the season and is sucking even worse a third of the way into it.

Franzen is a huge diver. Since when is this new? I hope we use our buyout on this failure of a hockey player. Frankly I'd rather be rid of him more than Cleary. And that's hard to do.

Telling you you're wrong and use no logic isn't a personal insult if its completely accurate. In reference to Weiss performing poorly, you brought up his injury and then said "Recovery takes time". I'm putting no words in your mouth. There is literally no other legitimate meaning to what you said other than to imply that Weiss might be performing poorly due to his injury 7 months (I know I said 9 months in the other post, but I think it was 7). Absolutely zero. And when you're so vehement yourself about Filppula performing poorly and create completely opposing logic depending on whether you're attacking him or not, it factually enrages me. Now, if you make the case that you don't know what the things you say actually mean, that's one thing. But for someone who tries so hard to make himself sound super smart by using such over the top vocabulary, I kind of find that hard to believe. I don't think you're stupid. I think you're a raging hypocrite. And even if there are personal attacks in what I say, they are certainly not "replete" with them.

Ignore Crymson, he'll say anything to discredit Filppula, regardless of its accuracy. Thing such as "moderate injury at best" when he in fact knows nothing about the injury. He'll also say that 6-8 weeks is more than enough time to recover from an injury where you can't even skate and have to sit on your ass and then he'll turn around and say that Weiss hasn't fully recovered from from his wrist injury 9 months prior where you can at least stay in game shape by skating.

Does Filppula ever say anything about me? Preach. Yeah, we totally didn't need our #3/4 forward in a year when we barely made the playoffs. Also, his skating the entire year was actually off. You could probably find posts from me mentioning it. He was not skating as well as he usually does.

It's horrible what happened to Stamkos, but I'm pretty exited to see what Flip can do as their #1 center. He has to be looking at the best signing of the summer. Right now how has by far the most minutes of any of their forwards tonight. He's got almost 3 more minutes than St Louis who is the next highest.

I'm still just angry about losing Lilja. I'm not ruling out Weiss. I haven't been able to watch that many Wings games this season (school/no cable at my house), but from what I've seen he generally looks good. I don't doubt the points will come. My only argument is that he will never do better than Filppula - not because Filppula is way better, but because he will succumb to the same problems Filppula had: linemates who are either lazy or can't make plays. Filppula current production is what I've always expected out of him and he is doing it because he is actually playing with decent linemates.

Recovery does not mean "get into game shape". No one has ever used it in that way. Ever. For someone with such a verbose, vociferous vocabulary, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't use the word "recover" in such an incorrect context. Saying that recovery takes time is completely, explicitly and entirely obviously implying that "Weiss hasn't had enough time to recover". Apparently, though, this does take a smart person to understand. You're not understanding.

So why isn't Weiss getting easy points to wide-open defensemen at the point or getting goals that he doesn't deserve from harmless backhanders or goals on bad goaltenders that shouldn't have gone in? The fact is a good play is a good play. He made a good recovery to keep the puck away from the opposition and in the zone and made a good pass to the point which resulted in a goal. People always cried about Filppula's lack of production and now that he is producing, he still gets no credit. This is like the Fox News of Filppula. Just because fox news is so far to the right doesn't make all other news liberal. Just because everyone here hates Filppula and gives him no credit doesn't make me biased because I give him the credit he deserves.

Flip sucks" That is literally exactly what you did. After quote Weiss's statements on his poor play you said that it was his first game in 7 months and that recovery takes time. You explicitly implied that he was performing poorly, at least in part due to his injury. What else is that supposed to mean? Also, trying to use fancy, lawyer-y sounding words and phrases make you neither intelligent nor correct. Don't get your hopes up, that never stopped those judgements for Filppula. But people hate Flip around here for no reason so just maybe.

Focusing on facts? What could possibly be more subjective than what you said of Filppula points? If that stuff "shouldn't be counted" then no player would score more than 25 points a season. And that is factual (you know, just because I say it is) so I'm not biased. In fact, everything I ever said about Filppula ever is factual, so it's not biased. Boom. Argument over. As for the injuries, you're wrong again. After I said that Filppula poor season was due, in part, to his pre-season injury, you promptly dismissed that, twice, and said 2 months was plenty of recovery time. So according to you, 7 months is a shorter time than 2 months. And you're trying to sling a completely subjective assessment as fact when you say stupid s*** like that. Okay.

They are. Go take a look at the TBL forum, they love him. See, for Crymson, it does. Just like, for Crymson, wasting time and nit picking each of Filppula's points means that he didn't just say that 2 months is more than enough recovery time but 7 months isn't enough. Which he totally did say.

No, lets talk about how incredibly biased you are and how you completely bulls*** everything you say, such as saying that 2 months is plenty of recovery time and then a week later say that 7 months isn't enough recovery time for comparable injuries. And you could do the same undervaluing of points for basically every single player in the league. The fact is if you play well you will get points. Flip is playing well, and he's getting points. Maybe if we nit pick every single point and goal for whether or not he deserves it, he should start giving points for great plays even if they don't result in goals.

I really hope they do. His contract while playing isn't so bad but the cap redemption thing would kill us when he retires early.
