even after playing with a fourth liner and various scrubs for 6 or so games, Flip is still keeping his > .6 PPG over the entire season and has 20 points in 30 games since his return from injury. And 4 points in the last 5.

Bert, Williams and Cleary? Absolutely. Filppula? Not a chance. Not a chance. in. hell. BUT I would LOVE to have Sammy on the second line with Flip and Z instead of Cleary. Where do you get that?

Great win. But man, Howard looked horrible in this game. I was shaking whenever the Sabres looked like they might get a shot on goal. Every shot that hit him seemed to bounce back 5 feet in front of him. We got the win but damn he was scary out there. -
Well...technically, he IS signed.. It's actually an interesting question.

I think they should be given time to gel. They've pretty much never played together at any length. And that is actually what makes me say I'd like to have Bert on the line instead of Cleary. The cycling was mostly Bert and Z, not some much Cleary IIRC.

Love seeing Mickey tell it like it is. They had a good night, but there are still 15 games left. No doubt. The key to winning is continuing to do what you did to get that lead.

I'd like to see if Bert has anything to offer on that second line. I think he'd do better than Cleary, though Bert always seems to make completely boneheaded moves. But I definitely like the Flip/Z combo, I hope Babs gives them some time to get used to each other.

I'm hoping Filppula is the center in spirit and Z just takes face offs. I'm pretty sure that is what will happen too as Filppula is twice as good as Zetterberg when it comes to skating the puck into the zone.

And about titanium's quote there, I'm pretty sure Wings players have said the same things about Flip, in that they love to play with him on the ice. That's a great read, actually. I really hope that, even though he has already shown he belongs on the top 2 lines, he just jams it down our throat (thanks, Fox News) that he should be there. -
