Hudler and Lilja have really stepped up this season, also; I hope you're not thinking of the Fedorov who's been a point per game player in the playoffs for his entire career. You're thinking of a different Fedorov, right?

You're insane, Forsberg might have been their best player in every game that he skated during that series despite playing on one leg.

Holmstrom will almost cartainly play with Datsyuk when he returns, probably with Filppula. Babs will make Zetterberg and Hudler play with Samuelsson for some reason. I think the Maltby, Draper, Cleary line will run again. Franzen will play with Kopecky and one of the scrubs (Drake?). Filppula - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Hudler - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Maltby - Draper - Cleary Drake - Franzen - Kopecky I guess Babcock's lines will look a bit like that but with Hudler getting himself on the fourth line once in a while. I'd rather see Holmstrom on Zetterberg's line and Cleary back on Datsyuk's though.

1) He hasn't hinted either way really although he did recently tell a story that he had agreed to a deal with Detroit but it fell through at the last minute. He gave the impression that he wasn't holding a grudge. 2) Are we talking about the same Federov who won two Selke trophies and a Hart trophy in Detroit? Did you ever even watch him play when he was on a good team? To imply that Federov is lazy or a poor two way player is nothing but profound and willfull ignorance. Unless you were being ironic, it's still not funny though.

You can never have too many Selke winners. Great news.

The cliches about these two are kindof strange. Datsyuk definately sets up scoring opportunities just as often, he's also been generating a lot of chances off take-aways (Useless stat, I know, but he led the league in take-aways last seasom). While "playmaker" Hank has been putting up the points. A lot of people seem to be clinging to their ideas about these guys from two years ago while they've both improved significantly in their weak areas. I want to give the edge to Hank because he's younger but back injuries always make me think twice so I won't make a call.

I'm kinda tired of seeing hate for Schneider. He played well in Detroit and left to the Ducks for a better offer as he should have. He certainly hasn't done anything to have any bad karma thrown his way. Hate Bert all you want.

Berttuzzi sat out the last two periods with a possible concussion. Playing with a concussion is a good way to wind up with Eric Lindros Syndrome but big Bert might just be that dumb. Looking for Kronwall to put him in a coma if he plays.

Datsyuk was offered an A last season but declined because he felt his english wasn't good enough. I'll try to find a link but it was mentioned when he was given the A this season. Just to clear things up a little. From his website, Babcock said: "When (Steve) Yzerman left (in 2006), I talked to Pav about being an assistant captain and he told me he wasn't ready, his English wasn't good enough," Babcock said.
