no. chris chelios has the job of a hockey player. his role on the team is that of sixth man on d. he does not have the role of a gosh darn gm. relize this. and dont you ever quote me and call me out again.

um. its not up to chris chelios who makes the team. maybe he needs to focus more on hockey than being a gm. just my two cents

um. you guys shouldnt be remembering these guys who refused to wear helments. they had a choice to wear a safety device and they chose not to just too look cool. they made the people who watched them think helments were unnecessary. thats dumb. they shouldnt be rememberd. they should be forgotten. this topic should be about the first person to wear a gosh darn helment!

when you think about it the red wings only allow 10 shots a game on average. i dont see why we just dont get one of our cheap-to-play-players like chris chelios to play goalie.

sometimes when fights break out during hockey games the linesmen and refs try to break it up by jumping into the pile and pulling out players. has a player ever taken this the wrong way and viewed it as if the linesmen was singling them out for a fight? i've seen chris chelios pulled out of several scrummages and i know the testerosterone was flowing and he didn't realize who was pulling him up. did he ever haul off and KO the linesman? or better yet has he ever squared off at center ice with a ref? or are the linesmen strong guys? most refs look old, but so does chris chelios. :\

the only problem i see with this is that not every player will have them at first. lets say one person from each team gets choosen to have them. nashville would choose tootoo, st. louis would choose kariya, detroit would choose chelios, and every other team would choose someone else. when a hot piece of metal cuts through ice it creates a groove, a deep gash in the ice. what would stop tootoo, kariya, or chelios from using their gash creating technology to create a trench surrounding the net that would make it impossible for players of the opposing team from getting close to the goal?
