I agree. And nice Avatar, BTW. I think we have enough now for our own complete line including a D pairing providing you don't mind being assigned to right Dman. Are you a left shot?

I can totally see where OP is coming from. Seams every other year there is one team in the Cup Finals that is a young, fast, crazy ass team just ridin high on enthusiasm and hustle. Edmonton, Calgary, and Tampa come to mind. I could easily see WaCaps in the finals. Thats a good call. Bold, but a good call. Yeah, I'd like to see DetroyIt (using best Torontonian accent like Grapes) or Montreal.

There is a positive to being on the "2nd" line and that is if the other teams are to to put a shut down/checking line out, it will most likely be against HDH, so ZFH will not be paying against the opponent's top shut down line...Yes? Comments?

Ray Ferraro commented today that Cherry indeed never praises Europeans. "He's never praised Nick Lidstrom for crysing out loud and Lidstrom's won 74 Norris Trophy's!" I thought that was funny.

No doubt about it, the youngsters are going to great someday. Remember the stretch last year when all the injuries hit and the youngsters all came up from GR? The Red Griffins. Were'nt the Wings like 1-10 during that stretch or something? Experienced players=good.

Just a summer type of thread that needs to be posted before the season gets underway. IF you knew that it was a given that the Wings were to win the Cup, (so you don't have to be afraid of one team or another wearing them down for the next round) who would you want them to beat and in what round? Maybe not neccessarily who you think they will beat, but who you want them to beat. I would like them start off against Calgary or Edmonton. They are fiesty teams that think they can out hustle and out hit Detroit, and I would want to dominate them. 2nd round I would like to see them whip Anaheim real good. (Even though I actually predict they'll see Chicago here). Dominate. Shut down Perry and Getslaughs, burn Neidermeyer, beat up Pronger, with only Salane able to show any real signs of life. WCF, Colorado. I don't think Colorado gets this far, but thats who I want them to beat. Just because its always so much fun to beat Colorado. And I don't want Burke to get to the WCF again. Funny though, I don't really care who they beat from the East. Montreal would be fun, but so would Pittsy again.

So, too bad, so sad. When I groom my employees all winter long so that they will be able to perform in the summer, only to have them leave for a company that can offer them more than I can, I'm not getting paid for my time invested in these employees. I realize that you are European and therefore not used to how competition works, and you think that some else should always be paying for what you need, but that is not a fair way to distribute scarce resources. The bottom line is, if Europe can't offer the players enough to stay, then Europe does not deserve to keep them. In Europe, if your wife leaves you for a man that has more to offer her, does he pay you for her?

Why Washington, for the dynamics the Big O could bring to the highstakes series, and/or to shut him down?

Exxxxcellent (nodding slowly in apreciation). Well done. I like each one.

Is it time to stick a fork in Ottawa, are they done like dinner?

Thanks for posting the article, good read. Getting excited. To crack into top lines on The Depth Wings is no small feat. Congrats Huds, way to keep your nose to the grindstone.

For a unique and fun experience make reservations at the Cadieux Cafe for feather bowling. Its sort of a combination of bowling and curling, I guess. Its the only feather bowling alley in all of North America. You need reservations.

Its modest alright. If I made the kind of money he has made, I'd have 15-20 cars for sure.

9 goals, wow. Atlanta should consider shoring up that D. Perhaps they should consider trading some prospects to Anaheim for Mathew Schneider. Yeah, they should look into that.

The comparison I'm looking forward to hearing is when he compares playing with Datsyuk and Zetterburg versus Crosby and Malkintent.

OK NFMac, the first one is the pic from my beer fridge, the second is my nephew back in Detroit when he was 6yrs old playing on the Dixie Lake at night (it too was on my beer fridge so I figured what the heck, you'd enjoy them both).

Good stuff, thanks for posting it. I've got this newspaper picture on my garage beer fridge of 8 Vancouver Giants in the box at once, its pretty funny. If i ever get my scanner hooked up again, I'll post it.

Yeah, this is a little late. I was just surfing the Flames forum to see how they were welcoming Bertuzzi, and came across this McCarty signing thread. They bascially had a couple good things to say. http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=62890

Yeah, whats up with that?!! "Not around" at the trade deadline?

I may have to support this idea of yours. I've tried to stay clear of the Hate Sammy Wagon, because I think he can score and has some attitude. But he seems to think too much out there and he thinks too slow for as much as he thinks, then he turns the puck over. But I haven't seen Lenio play, so...

EGGZACHERY!!! Isn't there a Logjam thread somewhere. As discussed before, its a great problem to have. And what are assets for? The are for using in the future, or trading for percieved upgrades for the present. It was a move that certainly could have worked out well but certainly didn't add up to much in the end. Not too much harm done. Ya can't keep 'em all.
