Only 35 yrs old!?!. Thats 35 hockey AND rock n roll years, man, thats like 55 in layman's years. One of the problems with his training routine is that while Cheli is doing work outs with that trainer guy at 6:00 am, Mac is STILL out singing! While Cheli is ridin a bike in the sauna, Mac is STILL out gambling. While Cheli was out skating backwards and poke checkin, Mac was throwin and TAKING punches to the coconut. I know what I feel like after playing in the beer league twice a week, I can't believe grown men can take the abuse of the NHL in the first place, it boggles my mind. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mac's time with Detroit. And I loved all my former girlfriends, too, but that doesn't mean that I want them back.

I agree. I think it may be different now because Huds ad Filp have been maturing, gaining confidence and mental stamina. Seems like the divisional match up's style of play may get the Wings ready for playoff style games, too.

Maybe he's referring to plays like this yeah; dead weight.

I actually know people in Marine City. Blues will upset the Wings 3-4. Will get some lucky bounces, a lot of energy early, and the Wings will mount a comeback but fall short even though they have 49 shots on goal. Rafalski will score some sort of ridiculous goal, hopefully for the Wings, not against.

But EVERYBODY on the Wings is better than last year,( with the arguable exception of the Dominator). The guys are fulfilling thier peotential as we speak.

I agree on both accounts. The crowd sounded great on Versus. It was fun to see them playing someone else for a change, the schedule sucks. glad they are changing it. The versus announcers talked about how the Capitals were told they are playing in the halls of greatness at the Joe, against greatness and to be great you have to beat the great ones. Detroit has to play against that every frikkin game, but they're still 24-6-3 with 51 points! Always fun to win.

The internet is frikkin killing me! We don't watch tv so we don't bother getting cable, but got center ice online with the sole purpose of being able to see the Wings even though I'm 2500 miles way from Detroit. But center ice has a nation wide black out cuz the morons at Versus have the Wings on tonite. So i switch to TVU to get the Versus feed Sync is way too off to listen to the wxyt audio so I got to put up with the Versus morons who can;t even remeber Kolzigs name.. Then with 1:34 left, tied 3-3, my wireless internet decides to go down. I can't get back on until the shootout is over! its killing me!

Definitely strange. If it were in a movie, I'd think the writer was an idiot for insulting my intelligence expecting me to believe that all that could possibly happen in one game. Thats when you know things are going good, even a crazy string of oddities can't keep you from winning.

Like Crosby and Ovechkin are going to NOT want to amass any real numbers to earn their place in NHL history, so yeah they'll be ok playing 40 games a year. I don't think so. An old guy who can't handle the grind any longer, playing half the year? No, not the way I'd do it either. Ya keep him theire all year long, give him nights off. That way the veteran guy can tutor the young guys and create that youthful skill/energy plus veteran savy combination that creates a winning chemistry. Neiderwheiners return is not going to do great things for the Ducks locker room. It will defintiely build an incredible defense, but I would think it may create a little animosity in the room.

I think Burke is pretty smart but I do not like him at all. The more important thing, though, is that the Wings now have to face Kariya and Macdonald together 8 times a year at least.

I like the youngster a lot, but I agree the media hype can be tiresome. Personally, I don't care if the game gets more ppular or not. Come to think of it, I kind of like the exclusivity of the game. Marketing smarketing, the game should have the exact amount of fans that love the game for the game, and not a single one more.

The goalie was not at all agressive, he just sat back and waited. He should have been more agressive and rushed him way out then slid and stacked the pads. That would have done the trick. I finally got tired of wasting half the game trying to actually find it online, so Ijust dropped the $ on Center Ice Online . Won't get any blackouts cuz I live out west. But as I'm watching the game I'm thinking bout the money I just spent, then Datsyuk steals the puck and goes in on Ward, backhand deke, to the forehand, two hole SCORRRRRRES! and suddelny I'm thinking that its money well spent! Rock on Red Wings! Now I'm off to radio shack to get Monster Cable to hook from the laptop to the tv for tomorrow night at the Grand Ole Opry.
