Can't really retroactively include Stuart in a deal, can we...?
-
There hasn't been any urgency or desperation in Hollands game the last few years...
-
The Kesler to Pitt was supposedly done until Aquaman stepped in a nixed it. Granted, it was Gillis, but he was willing to accept Brandon Sutter (3C), one of either young Dman Depres or Dumoulin, and a first. So how could he not take Weiss, one of our young D, and a pick? Thornton can't be worth much more, if any.
-
He didn't run away from this guy... Sorry, straying off topic...
-
Do you have a paypal account? :-) The Sedin's have a window just like D and Z.
-
we've got to sign Alfie: I just traded away Franzen and Tatar in the Joe Thornton thread!
-
I was bummed that my All Star Baseball teammate got drafted by Buffalo and we had to settle for some kid named Yzerman...but I guess it ended up working out ok. 16 Edit: I remember seeing a red full size Bronco with "16" on it running around Keego Harbor...

Fixed that for ya.Of course you're going to ask for those guys, you'd be a moron not too. But why should I give up guys I want, to get a player that you don't want? If he's not going to work for you, why would he work for me? I'll give you a Butterfield winner with unlimited potential, and a Florida Captain 1c to fill your center vacancy, and a future ( picks) for a guy you think cannot do it for you. Who do you think they'll get for him? I'll bet you're surprised at what they accept.

Excuse me, but I've already got Andersson packaged up (with Sedin friend Franzen) for Kesler, (to be on Datsyuk's wing). :-)It's going to have to be Tatar and Weiss and a pick. Kesler Datsyuk Nyquist Zetterberg Thornton Jurco Alfie Sheahan Pulkinen Miller Glenny Advilkader Helm/Callahan Kesler is a perfect fit. A complete player, awesome two way game, scores bucket loads of goals when he played on Sedin's wing. Not only will he damn near match any scoring forward out there for goals, he'll also provide a second Selkie force to our top line. Thornton is always voted top 5 Most Difficult to Play Against by his peers. Unbelievable how he can create time and space, and get the puck to wingers ready to score. He turns people into goal scorers. Hank will score 35 and Jurco would have more highlights than Hrtl. Add a top 2 Dman, and thats a Cup favorite roster. Anything less is a waste of Z and D's season.

For once, I agree with Dickie Dunn. (Crap: Now he's going to go through all my old posts just to see if he can prove me wrong. Hmm...)

Your username should be Dale Carnegie: (How to win friends and influence people). That's meant to be sarcastic, but actually, all that s*** with the site bugs me, too. "CLICKS" for the new guy.

:-) believing is the key to sales ( and in this case, negotiation) I'm such a good salesman, every four years my boss sends me down to pick out whatever new truck I want. You got to believe. :-)

It did, however, bring up a nagging question in my wee little mind: Do we prefer to keep Franzen or Tatar? Franzen and Andy for Kesler? Weiss centered package for Thornton? Kesler Datsyuk Nyquist Zetterberg Thornton Tatar I'm certain this is an option. :-)
-
No, because, as I posted earlier, Weiss and Andy in package for Kesler to play on Datsyuks wing. Tatar in a package for Dumbo Jumbo. Kesler Datsyuk Franzen Zetterberg Thorny Nyquist Jurco Sheahan Pulkinen Miller Glendening Abdelskater It can happen, and it will.
-
He's an assist first machine. Dats 1C, Jumbo 2C, omg.
-
Ok...I'm officially ready for July 1, and beyond.
-
Verbal agreement? Clearly did not/cannot hold up his end of the deal. Agreement has been broken, so no dishonor done in not signing him.

[quote name="e_prime" post="2523739" timestamp=" /comedyroutine. Is that all? :-) Go Big, or go home ( in the first or second round like we have been) . The future is no place to place your better days. (Hey, thats a Dave Mathews song!) do it now.

There's a ton of dough coming off the books, we have moveable assets, and the cap is going up. Even with raises, there's no reason we couldn't end up with Kesler, Thornton, and a top 2-3 Dman. And that's what we'll need to win it all.
-
Realistically, if we don't get a forward of Kesler's caliber, and a top 2 Dman, D and Z won't win another cup.
-
You can still love them, I mean, it's ok to love. :-)

http://www.mlive.com/griffins/index.ssf/2014/04/grand_rapids_griffins_coach_je_3.html Hope we can keep him until the time is right to transition up. Maybe the fact that he's relatively young will be in our favor. If Mantha truly does have a questionable work ethic, Blashill is the one that can cultivate that in him. Edit: auto edit strikes again. Mods feel free to fix, thanks.

I haven't posted this in a month or so: Weiss, Andy, plus a 2nd for Kesler. Tatar, Almquist, Ferraro, Jensen, and a 2nd, for Jumbo Joe and a 3rd. Kesler Datsyuk Alfie Zetterberg Thornton Nyquist Pulkinen Sheahan Jurco Abby Helm Miller Franzen/Glendening

This is awesome. No Penguins. No Chicago. No Filapoola. I really don't care who wins. Well, I guess it's a toss up: do I want Alain Vinault to win more than I don't want Martin St.Loius to win. Hmm.
