    3/27 GDT - Canadiens 5 vs. Red Wings 4

Nyquist is going to have to step it up. His 2 goals a game isn't getting it done. He needs 4 goals tonight for us to have a chance at winning.

    3/22 GDT : Red Wings 3 at Wild 2

    Did Smith play forward today?

Kassian on the way out of Van?

I liked the "idea" of Zack Kassian, and often was pro Kass on lgw. But living in the Vancouver market, I've see enough of him to buy what you are saying, and pass on Zack.

    Injury Updates

Yet, there's a huge thread on hfboards asking if Bylsma could be worst coach in nhl. Pages of pen fans trashing he and Shero. Fwiw.

    Maple Leafs 2 @ Red Wings 3

I have to ask: was this the first game for the new avatar? (I've been quite preoccupied so, apologies if I've missed it. :-)

    Maple Leafs 2 @ Red Wings 3

Anyone else think Franzen must be playing with lower body injury? He's lost some jump...

    Maple Leafs 2 @ Red Wings 3

Yeah, but I think they all are: Kindl, Quincey they're all down low.

    Maple Leafs 2 @ Red Wings 3

If Abby is out, move Pulkkinen up to the 2nd line, and Smith to 3rd line winger with Gdening and Injured Alfie.

Zata's keeping busy during his time away...

Building luxury homes in Seattle, too!

3/16 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 4

vApparently Edmonton has always had good luck letting the machine pick the lotto numbers.

3/16 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 4

My first random hockey thoughts today were not if we'll make the playoffs or not, rather who all is going down to GR for the Calder Cup run? Always look on the bright side of life.

    Finally-TooToo called up

Toots had a goal and an assist against a very competitive Abbotsford Heat a couple weeks ago , the night after the game I went to. Fwiw...

    Finally-TooToo called up

Poor Bert, guys got no confidence left whatsoever. Gets a break away and immediately looks to dump back to a trailer every time...etc etc. Toots is more likely to score at this point simply because he goes for it and sooner or later will get a bounce in (where's Cleary's ass when you need it?).

Red Wings have Recalled Pulkkinen from Grand Rapids

And the Oil are the team most likely to give the time and space ( like in the video-holy freedom) to shoot slappers all day.

    Question about Mantha

No ones really worried about Bertuzzi's confidence.

    If Kronwall isn't a #1

That's why Holland was trying to throw $90m at Suter, so we'd have a legit #1 and take the unjust pressure off Kronwall and Ericsson.

3/9 GDT: Red Wings at Rangers

I can't believe they didn't call out St Louis on his dive on the Quincey cross tap: he gets tapped, then realizes the opportunity an instant later and jumps into the boards to draw the penalty. Opinion of him dropping daily...

3/9 GDT: Red Wings at Rangers

And living on the west coast (puck drop 9:30am at Casa de T.Low) and us having friends over into the wee hours last night, I'll be watching this one in my PJs with coffee and pop tarts. :-)
  20. Which one excels at wing?
  21. Too much of the pie tied up in a 3c for too little ROI. Would see diminishing returns on that money, so we'd keep a younger faster cheaper Sheahan and Helm in the 3-4 spots, use the money savings to bolster D and Pavs wing.

    If Kronwall isn't a #1

The real point is every Stanley Cup winner since the '04-'05 lockout has had a better #1 than Kronwall, and some of them had a top pairing he wouldn't be able to crack. A more relevant question is can he lead us to the Promised Land?
  23. Legwand is competing with Weiss for the 2C spot in the lineup, and off to a damn impressive start. Holland won't keep both of them. Hollands options are to resign Legwand, who by then will be much more of a known quantity than Weiss, and ask Weiss for a list of teams he'd like to go to, or let Legwand walk and hope Weiss starts producing. If I'm KH, (as it looks like at this point in time) I'm resigning Leggy, and selling everyone else in the league on Weiss' same strengths mentioned in this thread for a trade package for a big winger for Pavel. Use the cap increase to acquire a top pairing Dman and Bob's your uncle, we're major contenders.
  24. After viewing recent developments, maybe I'd go with Kesler Datsyuk Zetterberg Nyquist Legwand Franzen Tatar Sheahan Jurco Miller Helm Abby
