I like your thinking, but if they are infact easing him back in to game shape/speed, they wouldn't give him the extra work load of being center, ya.

Strong Penalty Killing, Lack of Scoring the Story of 2014 So Far

Don't get me wrong: I love the idea of a radio/blogio place to turn on Red Wing talk, but they really didn't give me any new insights, not even anything I haven't seen here a thousand times. -
Strong Penalty Killing, Lack of Scoring the Story of 2014 So Far

Well, atleast they made a good point about getting rid of Tatar for a guy who can come in and get 20-25 goals. I mean he only had 19 in 70 some games as a rookie, and only has 3 in 11 games so far which only projects out to...hmm, whaddya know, 20-25 in 82. -

That first period was as amazing as any in recent history. That was a 2002/2008 period. -
I can't help but picturing Holland sitting behind a kids lemonade stand, except with Kindl all geared up and ready to go, and....crickets ...

Not like Tyler Myers plays for either one of those teams...

I worry Smith on PP is a short handed goal waiting to happen. #in behind the D

Two of last nights goals exemplified Babcocks thinking. Helm with Datsyuk because his awesome puck retrieval skills: Tied the game with an awesome goal. Tatar not ready for more ice time: his mark scored while he was indisciplined, opened the door for the loss of the game. This team has a pretty flat finish to it: not a makeup that can score consistently. Tatar Sheahan Jurco, while a really cool line that we all love, obviously cannot/have not scored as a 2nd line. The only way they produce is as a 3 rd line.

Guys, we didn't deserve anything. Yes, we out played them, but the name of the game is not possession or shots, it's GOALS. they got more than us, they deserve to win. Now STOP IT.

Datsyuk and Tatar on Sheahan's wing could be interesting.

They need to booster their rooster with Weiss and Kindl. And if they're still feeling a little dreary, we could always send them Cleary.

I would prefer Z D Helm NyQ Weiss Franzen But that all depends on Weiss being the 2c we hoped we were getting, and that's not happenned, so... And, just as I predicted in other threads, tats Shea Jurco is an awesome 3rd line, but not ready yet to excell as a 2nd line. Keep them slotted 3rd line NyQ Z Franzen has looked great, so keep them slotted 1st line. Miller Glenny Andy has looked great as a fourth line shutdown, and Abby could slot right in for Andy. 4rth line. Babcock has to play Weiss sooner or later. All the other lines are perfect where they are so force Weiss right where he was originally supposed to go. Helm will help pushing D back, and his puck retrieval has been downright astounding at times this season. Datsyuk is smart enough to make the adjustment to wing, and instead of leading the play into the zone and having to always deal with everyone collapsing on him, can you imagine him trailing the play and exploiting the gaps! More open shots. And therefore, a move to wing may take all kinds of pressure off him physically and mentally, possibly keeping him healthier, fresher, extending his career. With NyQ Weiss Franzen, I can see Franzen getting frustrated and giving up on Weiss, and NyQ never getting the puck when he's open, and that line never going anywhere. But with D W H, Weiss could simplify, he and helm just work hard and Datsyuk can make the magic happen. NyQ Zetterberg Franzen Datsyuk Weiss Helm Tatar Sheahan Jurco Miller Glendenning Abby/Andy

I must have blinked when I drove through Owen Sound on the way to Tobermory, it seemed way to small to have any team...

Wow, I'm so not hip. Is that NastyQuist or NastySil?
-
Would this put them in the Tyler Myers discussion? I've been told they couldn't take on that contract, but Idk.

Definitely a good call at this early stage. Who is sitting next to Z in the room?

Can you imagine an '07 Heatley with a Glendenning work ethic? Oh my... But I digress... When is Franzen's 7 th IR day?

He was signed to be a key piece, of that there is no argument. Struggling so far. 5 pts in 7 games, OT winner last night.
