As I was listening football tonight I found out what hockey needs.
T.Low replied to blankrap's topic in General
I think it must be that the one game a week format for football encourages people to watch other teams almost as often as their own favorite team. Sundays, a fan can catch up with a lot of the games around the league. In hockey and basketball, the games come too fast and too furious to catch up on every team, so you end up watching just your own fav and then a few other easy to watch teams. This all goes for announcers, too. Bias then easily creeps in. Just my theory, but a damn good one. -
Ha! Dude, thats funny...but actually a scary thought...even more scary than your avatar, now that I think about it.

I was listenning to team 1040 out of vancouver and ray ferraro was on. He was talkinga bout how the wings players missed training camp and were not anywhere near game conditioned yet, let alone got there timing down with eachother. Dats and Z and Lids are still getting over there injuries and D anbd Z are still hugely feared by opponents. Then here comes frikin Bertuzzi, then Helm comes at you...No worries.

Drat! Foiled again! Pheck! ...but you get the point. Edit: add pissed off smiley

You also get points off for missing the apostrophe in "school's" to show the possession of "responsiblity". Then you obtusely threw out an ellipsis instead of a more certain semi colon. That's weak, dude. Obviously a creature of today's internet and texting culture. Also, difference between is much more correct than difference of. Most significant, however, is the striking fact that that's one long ass rambling sentence you've posted there. You'd be wise to replace some of those commas with periods. The independant sentences would show the seperate but related thoughts you are trying to convey. While you state that your grammar is not always 100% correct, it appears that your punctuation and sentence structure are even less so.

Yeah, thats it. Pavel just didn't care, the sonafabitch.

Sean is a conscientious guy. He can see Boudreu struggling with an unhealthy weight problem. I think its great that he's so passionately concerned for the health and well being of a fellow professional associate and that he was able to verbalize it in a way that obviously has stayed with Boudreu as oppossed to something he could have quite easily dismissed, ignored, or forgotten. He needs to eat smarter coupled with alternating days of cardio and resistance training. Shame on the man that stands by and says nothing.

I thought it meant can 50% of the water fit in 50% of the glass.

Not that I am an Ozzi Bashear ( ) but clue me in: What are these personal issues you speak of other than the obvious personal issue of playing poorly?
-
Good point, APunk. I've always said he plays best when he's knocking on the goalie's door, like Scotty Bowman told him to do. Not only does it give the goalies fits, but it also creates a lot of space for D and Z to work their magic.

Are you ManLuv4Markov? How could you not go with Cleary's hit on Phanuef leading to his assist on a goal in WCQFs?
-
Or one up them with a bigger clean hit on the hitter and a goal. Although you're not gonna get a bigger hit than that one. Have to go for the quantity with a barage of hits, everyone on the ice takes a turn at hitting the hitter every shift. Edit: Worst case scenario: fight the hitter right then and there, beat his ass and quell whatever mo they may have gotten with the hit AND satisfy all the retribution mongers. I prefer the one upper method myself. But none of this stupid half hearted scrum BS.

You cannot see all things at all times, head up or not. Especially at the speed of the NHL game. A crusher of hit, indeed. I expected to see him unconconscious then burst back to life ala Richard Parks.

He's @ 9 pts in 9 games, with 5 goals. Go, Sammy, Go. http://canucks.nhl.com/club/stats.htm

If we resign you, you'll need to take a pay cut.

Didn't Columbus or Niyashville score 8 on us last year in Oct or Nov? Its a long season. The chemistry is still loose, the timing is not going to be consistant, trial and error, blah blah blah. Buffalo is stocked with millionare professional hockey players too. Yeah it kinda sucks, but unless it happens the next 5 ot of 8 games or somehing, I'm not too upset.

How can you not love a gutsy hockey player with the name Tomas Tatar? Go Tatar, go!

Bertuzzi made his career high in goals by camping out in front of the net. he knows that area well and is as talented as anyone in that position. Remember, he was so good, teams were sending the NHL tapes of his moves complaining that they weren't legal. Just as a Canuck player was shooting the puck, Bertuzzi would bump a player near him to gain enough space to redirect the shot and score. He was tuff to stop. I think he got tired of getting wacked all the time because he does'nt play that game like he used to. I like the idea of putting him with Pavs and Hank.

I like Bert. I really do. I really want Bert to succeed in Detroit. But this is a ridiculous statement. Hossa was a frikin monster on the back check. Bert may be giving it his all most of the time, but he certainly doesn't have the depth of power, the determination, and tenacity like Hossa did. Not even close. I do think Bert is a potential great value. Let's hope. Keep it up, Todd Bertuzzi.

Thank you. I haven't been able to see a game yet, so its good to see so many posts defending and supporting Bertuzzi because he's playing decent so far. NOT TO MENTION ITS ONLY THE FOURTH FRIKIN GAME!
-
I knew Leins would be offensively good, but I never thought we'd get this far into the season and find that he's got TWICE as many goals as any other Red Wing! Not to mention he's outscoring Hossa!
