Ha! Spoken like a young man. Dude, i'm so stiff and sore from ridin and skatin all week, i can hardly get off the couch today. Its called being old and washed up.

Hopefully you've got a point there. Maybe it's time for a bit of an offensive breakout for the Wings, then. (Where's the crossed fingers smiley when you need one?) I mean how cool would it be for Bertuzzi to have a multiple goal game along with a goal by Dats, Z, and Williams.

The Wings are going to get killed, 5-2, with a late goal by Detroit. Detroit is has not had any real intensity or jump to their game yet and Wowshington is looking incredible. It pains me to say that and i hope i'm wrong. Go Wings.

Why, just because he has Kindl playing with some guy named Ralalski?

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding Mindfly catches a lot of s*** on this forum and let me tell you, he is spot on with this thread.

And talk about making Chicken Salad out of Chicken s***, the owner still brought home another Cup after the Gretzky trade. What more proof could there be? It may not have been the best thing for Wayne's career, but my boss is always doing stupid s*** that isn't the best thing for my career. The fact remains, if you don't work for yourself, you are not in charge of your own destiny. He should have owned his own team back then and been self employed.

Listenned to an interview on Vancouver's Team 1040 today, and they said it was fairly accurate but did not agree with the way the film portrayed the Oiler's owner, or how he felt about the trade. He felt there was no way he could resign Gretzky the following year; he would surely get out bid and lose Gretzky and it really wore on him. It was a tuff decision, but he didn't see any other way.

Did I read the schedule correctly? They are only showing the schedule thru Oct 11 and no Wings games yet.

Thank God hockey has arrived. I get so bummed out when summer leaves after paddling and ridin in the great weather all summer long. Even though yesterday's night ride in the rain and mud was truly epic, it's always sad to see the good weather and long days turn. Atleast now there is good hockey. Go Wings.

Thats funny as heck. As an international economics and trade major, political science minor, i totally see where you're coming from. However, the bottom line is that the differentiations within Europe have absolutely no bearing on the average American's day to day life. Wether you are Swiss or Swede is irrelevant. Sorry, but its true. And furthermore, I personally believe that most U.S. Americans don't have maps...

Larsson is an exception only allowed for the trip to Sweden. His salary only counts if he's actually used in one of the regular season games there.

Good read. My quick answer to header is that I'm going with the tired/injured/too wornout to kill theory.

He and Bertuzzi are tight.

Uh...yeah...it's Russia. What the hell does anyone expect. Human life has been known to be not so important over there. Whats the rush? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...all-silent.html

I never see anyone else posting links for this one, but its always worked well for me. Not sure about preseason, though. http://www.hockeywebcasts.com/

Dude, you just need to install sopcast.

Exactly. Hockey is a collison sport. s*** happens, and a lot of it is nasty. Of course Phaneuf should have hit him and exactly the way he did, too. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that hit. It was text book D. Yes, the dude got pushed off balance right into Pahnuef's hit. Ouch. But thats hockey. Any of you ever actually played it? WTF? How many highlight videos have you kids watched with guys scoring while they are flying thru the air off balance? Well, hit that f***** and he won't being scoring that goal, will he?

Thanks for the OP, DM. Excellent read.

Those replies suck.

I was wheeling my 4x4 van around the mountains, exploring. Missed everything. The US Open What? Road Cycling, tennis, golf, body building ?

Yes. And he's not bitching and complaining. He's got the "know" going on.

HEY! This isn't about All American Paul Newman vs Aussie *** Russle Crowe. Were talking about an Alaskan born and bread John Beibe, rides a frikin snowmobile to work with his kids in hockey helmets. Sheriff John Biebe for crying out loud. I think Reg was a better skater. I wonder how the hockey community would have treated Mystery Alaska if it had taken place in a Canadian town against the Leafs.

Dean Youngblood gets my vote in this poll. A closer tally would be Dunlop/Beibe. Now thats a tuff call to make, but i think i'd take Beibe, then I'd go skate the river. Or stud the tires on my Gas Gas and go ride the river.
