  1. the drummer for Blue Light Special ...oh wait, that was me.

Legend has it that there is an enduro rider terrorizing the trails in the North Cascades they call The Single Track Slayer. He only rides Gas Gas and usually seen in Red Wings practice jersey. They say he climbs like a mountain goat, comes up behind you on night rides like something out of the Book of Revelations, and wheeelies the entire Washington Backcountry Discovery Route.

  2. I realize that Jurco on the 4th line isn't ideal, but I'm very wary about using it as too much of a crutch either. Last year Stephen Weiss scored 25 points in 52 games on the fourth line. Kindl scored 13 points in 35 games with almost no ice time. Glendening had 12 goals from the fourth line.

He's got to get on the board. If he does that, he'll get an everyday spot. And if he has an everyday spot, the next time the lines need juggled, he might well end up with a little more icetime.

But he has to produce despite the limitations in playing time. It's not impossible, it's just hard. But we've seen it happen before.

Last yr, Jurco literally had mmore posts tthan goals. He'll get there.

  3. How are you feeling, T? I'm sure The Jenerator is taking good care of you

So awesome that you remember her nickname. :-)

And since you asked, I am doing great, thanks so much. Was the keynote speaker at an ALS fundraiser walk this weekend. Everyone laughed at my jokes. Yay me. Olivia cut the ribbon, she's almost five. Lilja had her 3rd birthday party tonight, it was a blast.

Everyone told me to do voice banking while I'm still able to talk, but no one could tell us where to go. So Jen and I were instrumental in developing a voice banking program at Western Washington University. Now people have a place to go.

Then I was recruited to be part of the Microsoft Eyegaze Research & Development team with Steve Gleason. He is the Man. Yes, I been driving a power wheelchair with my eyes.

And I spent a week coaching at a kids basketball camp...in my power wheelchair. It was cool.

Oh, and as far as eating a bag of Dick's: http://youtu.be/ecc0nbg9m-8

  4. WTF? Finally the first preseason game I can watch and it's not being televised?!

    Eat a bag of dicks.

Every three months I have to go to Seattle to get poked and prodded, masked and tubed, for my ALS checkup.

We always reward ourselves with eating a bag of Dick's. :-)

  5. "Unlike Hawks prospect Ryan Hartman, a West Dundee, Ill. native, and Hawks backup goaltender Scott Darling, a Lemont, Ill. native, Russo did not grow up a Hawks fan despite the proximity to the team. Russo was a Red Wings fan growing up, according to Second City Hockey staff writer Ryan Hood, who attended high school with him for two years."

  6. Expound on something already said:

The London Knights have one of the best young two-way lines in the OHL, but they couldn’t stop Tyler Bertuzzi on November 9th, 2014, when the young Detroit Red Wings' prospect netted two goals and five assists for seven points on his way to the biggest single season output from an NHL prospect this season. What’s more impressive, Bertuzzi was on the ice for all 9 of Guelph’s goals, and played a part in every single one of them. It was by far one of the greatest single season OHL performances in history--and it came from a player whose previous season-high was a mere 35 points. In retrospect, November 9th was a coming out party for Bertuzzi, who was among the OHL scoring leaders for much of the season. (Aaron Bell/OHL Images)
