Gus was bad early but third period and on through the shootout was really great. I'm not a fan of Quincey but he had a goal and over all played a solid game.

Plus he was so good several years ago with Z and Pav so you know he could score if given the chance. Eaves has always reminded me of a younger Cleary but with a better shot.

I don't agree with the Hawks beating us 4 out of 5. Just something about Chicago that brings the best out of this team. I miss the west for that very reason. On another note, how good was Jurco tonight? It was by far his best game of the year as a Wing.

I have come to the conclusion, whether right or wrong, that the wings biggest issue is not injuries. Their biggest issue is the fact that other then two or three player no one on the team can finish. We keep getting plenty of great opportunities but most of the time the puck either jumps of the players stick or we flat out miss the net, sometimes by a country mile. Take todays game as an example the Wings had a ton of shots in great spots on the ice but most of them didn't even hit the net. You can't score if you can't hit the net.

It's not just you, they tried the same play three times at each was worse then the one before.

Most of the so called "goons" are just protecting their teammates. The league has changed there aren't that many true goons left.

This team has gotten very Vanilla. It's nice to play with class but sometimes having raw emotion helps on the scoreboard. Just look at the number of wins the three douchiest teams (Boston, Pittsburgh,and Chicago) have.

Thats the Howard I miss, I used to love it when he would beat up on players crashing the net. For awhile it looked the Wings brass neutered him, but the old Jimmy is back. Hope he keeps it up. It's nice seeing someone on the Wings show some emotion. Aren't you always advocating that the Wings don't need physical play?

I agree, the playoffs are a crapshoot the most important thing is to get in, cause once you're there anything can happen.

It's a great play and definitely a contender for save of the year but I don't think it's the save of the year.

Can't buy him out until after the season and by then he'll be a free agent anyway. You can never call an injury fortunate but boy was the injury he had before the season timely for him; we couldn't buy him out which it saved him 3 mil.
