Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't the owners lock the players out and demand that the CBA be re-opened before the opt out date.

IMHO if the the salary cap continues to climb so drastically we'll be in for another lockout in 2 to 3 years.

I completely agree I think Orpik got hurt because he wasn't prepared for it not unlike a blindside hit that's what's so dangerous about what Thornton did. But let's also through Neal in there, his knee was the definition of intent to injure, he just got lucky that Marchand wasn't carted off the ice too. -

Crap after the whistle is moronic. You want to get back at the other team? Lay a big clean hit during play. One dimensional players like Thornton give toughness in the NHL a bad reputation. -

I would argue that what Neal did was worse and more Dangerous. Since Marchand was on the ground already and in a highly compromised position. What Thornton did was just gutless, why go after Orpik he wasn't the one who kneed Marchand, did he not have the balls to go get Neal. -

Don't take me the wrong way I'm happy where we are and proud of the way we have played since Pav went down, but we haven't exactly been great this year. Some of those overtime games we were lucky to get a point. But let's not pretend like we have done something amazing either we are still just a .500 team. We are damn lucky nobody got hot like Chicago did last year and left us behind, because we have had too many periods like the 2nd and the start of the third.

While we haven't exactly sucked 15-8-7 is nothing to be proud of either.

I'm sure most of you saw during the NJ game when FSD did the get to know the player graphic on Abby that he said his favorite book is the Hunger games, anyone else surprised that he admitted that? I like the book too, not my favorite, but surprised he admitted it.
