Pushing the Wings around has been the other teams blueprint for years, and most times than not that strategy has failed because of the teams creativity. Past a couple of players we really lack the ability to create. Too many shots at an unblocked goalie really hurt.

Ridiculous lack of creativity on the 5 on 3. They would have been better off staying on the regular 5 on 4 PP. 5 on 3 or not, you cant let yourself be pushed around like that on home ice.

Good game but the reason we lost was that we couldn't match Ottawa's nastiness, we just got pushed around too much.

It's tough for me to have real hate for Cleary since I was a big fan of his. I'm disappointed in him and pissed at Kenny for putting me in a position to hate him.

I like kindle but his shot constantly gets blocked at the blue line which causes odd men rushes.

You made some good points but I gotta disagree with you on a couple. Signing Sammy to that awful contract just because there was nobody else doesn't make the signing any better in fact it makes it worse. Holland gave him 2 years at 6 million which was a raise from his expired contract. That money could have been saved and used this year or for an in season acquisition. And as far as Cleary goes didn't Holland offer him a 3 year deal early in free agency that Cleary declined because he wanted more money.

I think they'll come out strong, then have a bad second but still come out on top. I'm guessing 3-1 Red wings.

Maybe it's the fear talking but I think Quincey will take a discount to stay in Detroit and holland will give him 4 years. We don't like Quincey but on the free agent market he will get 4 million for 4 or 5.
