Before every game this season I have thought about what I want to see from this team, but after last game all I want to see is a win. I don't care how ugly or pretty the game is going to be the Wings need this win.

Every other team in the NHL is either using their prospects or trading them to get better, but our guys are "over ripping" as in spoiling on the bench or in the AHL.

Cleary was signed when we were already over the cap, over the roster limit and knowing his skills were seriously diminished. Signing sammy with cap space makes it even worse since there were other better players available.

He should play on the fourth line. But Sammy is the one who is really hurting the team, he might not be playing on the second line like Clearly but his contract is stopping Nyquist from playing there.

Terrible strategy but it's the one we are stuck with.

There's no bubble to burst, no denying Clearly is bad but he's not going anywhere and I'm choosing to think positively and hope he can be good come playoff time like last year.

Should be easier to make playoffs since the division isn't as tough.

I was ragging on Cleary pretty bad last year but he had a great playoff. Unless we tank the season no reason not to think we won't make it back to the post-season and then hopefully he picks it up again. I agree, with the way the system is set up with both teams getting points in OT a loss like this is not a huge deal. But still stings for awhile.

I get what you are saying but I'm also taking last year into account, and it really hasn't been just one bad game he has had plenty of bad games as has the whole team. But he really needs that reliable D-Man so he can roam free. Because with the guys he's been playing with, when Nick makes a mistakes its amplified cause he's got no one to back him up. Not happy with Jimmy today but the only goal that I have a real problem with is the second. If the D sucks the goalie can't steal every game. Just look at Miller in Buffalo.

Not being a problem is not enough for this team to win, he has to be on top of his game more often then he has been. Don't think Jimmy is the problem, to me the problem is not enough blocked shots. Jimmy gets screened but nobody blocks the shot.

Let me clarify he might have a +8 cause he is on the ice most of the time when the Datsyuk's line is out there which in my opinion inflates that number. But what has disappeared is his ability to put the puck in the net. He has also had a tendency to make bad decisions with the puck. I still like him but with Lidstrom gone this team really needs some scoring from the Blue Line and Nick is really the only option.

Kronwall Defensively has been bad and has completely disappeared offensively. I think he misses Lidstrom more than anybody.

The D either has to block the shot or get the hell out of the way, 2 of the 4 goals Howard had no idea where the puck was. Our D blocks Howard and then tries to get out of the way of the puck instead of blocking it. I miss Stuart.

Does it make me a bad person if the only thing I could think of while watching the video was that too bad it wasn't Kane.

Babcock didn't look too happy after his last fight I wonder if that played into it.

You gotta wonder in what universe these guys live in.

I gotta say Howard the guy doesn't get enough press and if it wasn't for him we would lose half our games.

An unusually bad game for Z and Pavel. Another bad game following a good game the trend continues.

Marty should find out where the jackass works and go tackle him at his job. Where the hell is PETA when you need them.

Game they should win. I'm more interested to see if they can build some consistency as in have two good games in a row and not one good and one bad. Looking forward to the game. GO WINGS!

I don't think he failed, he just didn't turn into the type of player we wanted him to be. That said he still turned into a decent player, just not Datsyuk.

Even with the wings struggling defensively, i feel like they really miss an offensive minded D. Hopefully Almqvist can provide some quickness to the breakout.

Love Mick, i still laugh at the "hook,hook, another hooker" line he had several years ago.

Not ashamed to say don't know much about him, anybody got a scouting report on Almqvist? What type of player is he.

Not just looking at the points it's the softness with which Weiss has played, but the last three he has looked completely different. I think he is getting close to breaking out.
