Not a great game, but as the shootout went along, Howard seemed to gain more confidence-that may be what he needed to finish the season strong.

Another disappointing loss. The offense looked impotent, Mrazek was good during the game but terrible in the shootout. A very winnable game turned into another bad loss, this has become a very annoying pattern.

Some players want to be babied, and Babcock isn't the babying type. So that might be one of the reasons players don't want to play for him. He's also unshakingly loyal to his veteran players, which is a fault sometimes. And might lead to some resentment from the younger players. Then again who knows.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you entirely. I think where we differ is in the interpretation of Frank's comments, not in the definition of attack. I'm interpreting his comments as, starting a fight or skirmish in an in game situation. Bordering on instigating, but not going as far as real bodily injury. However I can't for certain know what he meant. What we see above is a mugging that has nothing to do with hockey and has no place in the game or out of the game. -

To be fair starting a fought during the game, and blatantly attacking someone from behind with a stick while coming from the bench, are two completely different things. -
