People asking on the internet if it was true doesn't automatically make something a fact. What starts rumors, is serious new organizations treating a stupid comment as some form of revelation, they should know better. To be fair, The Onion is recognized as a satirical website by those that know what The Onion is. Those that don't know what The Onion is can easily confuse what they say as fact, Especially if they report something that is close to reality.

The current Leafs team lacks everything that makes an original 6 team so appealing.

Listen if he wants to sue TSN or the Toronto media, more power to him. But suing the guy that posted the tweet makes little sense.

If the tweet was a threat of some kind or overly gratuitous,I'd agree with you. In this case though the tweet is fairly innocuous. I agree with the whole Toronto media perfect storm thing, it's just that other cities have tough media markets as well, and yet you never hear about players suing the media. I think it was the Toronto media a couple years ago that made a big fuss about A-rod screwing strippers. And yeah A-Rod isn't the most likable guy, but he never sued. I get the players are frustrated, but right or wrong s*** like this comes with the territory.

I agree he never truly reached his potential. I also know that hindsight is 20 20, but looking back wouldn't you rather have signed Fil instead of Weiss?
