They seemed somewhat disjointed early on, then seemed to get better. Overall the play on both sides seems fractured, and Pav looks especially slow today. Hopefully he is just shying away from contact to be safe.
-
Even being an original 6 team, it feels like the Wings never get the benefit of the doubt. The NHL seems to have fallen in love with the Hawks and the Pens and have grown tired of Detroit's consistent success.
-
Yes! That was more of an interference then the no goal. ******* zebras.

Jurco needs to be playing on the kid line.

Because out of everyone, Franzen is the guy that needs the most rest. On a serious note though, maybe Franzen getting a mental health day, helps him relax.

The Yankee fan in me is laughing uncontrollably.

All through out sports there have been tons of players that were though to be unready, yet once brought up they contributed. They may very we'll not be quite ready, but Holland had a perfect chance to bring these guys up; because sometimes players surprise you. Plus Kindl/Lashoff haven't exactly been reliable either, so what makes them better then a rookie? NHL experience? That's sometimes grossly overrated.
-
The 3rd pairing doesn't need to be spectacular.
-
I don't want this to become another Kindl/Lashoff bash fest, but I just can't watch them on the same pairing. The whole not NHL ready thing is also really misleading though, who thought guys like Sheahan/Jurco were ready? Unless these guys get a chance it's tough to definitively say that they are not ready. It's disappointing that they weren't given a chance earlier, but now that the playoffs are here; I'd say its too late to make a change. You dance with the one that brung ya even though our date is not the best looking.

The only reason he isn't more of a superstar is because he's so down to earth. The media should do a better job of promoting guys like Pavel-who is a great player with zero attitude, but instead they promote guys like Ovechkin who's all attitude and not half the player Pav is.
-
I'm really hoping that one of these guys impresses enough to make the playoff roster, although if it hasn't happened by now, it won't happen this year.
-
I don't think they particularly underachieved they just never reached their full potential as a franchise. Over the years they have really had some decent teams, who had the ability to win. Plus I think Preds fans are just as intelligent as other fans, I also think that most of them would admit that it's time to move on. It's time to try something new.
-
I hate-hate-hate Abby on the top line. I think if it was Nyquist on Pavs wing, it would help Mule get moving. Oh, and did I mention that I hate Abby on the 1st line?
-
What's more surprising: The fact that after 15 years Trotz is getting replaced or that in the modern NHL, Trotz lasted 15 years with an organization without ever winning anything? To me it's the second. While Pred fans might not be happy about the move, its past time to move on. It's not his fault that the Preds missed the playoffs, but over the years they have had good teams that could never get over the hump. With a lot of the veteran guys gone, now is as good a time as any to move in a different direction.
-
Or Vancouver, although I doubt management would ever make a smart decision like that; or that Trotz would want to join that freak show. Plus unbalanced Torts is still there.
-
I didn't get a chance to watch the game, although judging by the score thank god I didn't. The only thing I'm curious about, is how did Pav look?
-
So essentially, the same as usual? I hate to keep harping on it, but I hate the lines! Jurco has to play with Tatar, and Abby needs to go back to the bottom.
-
Was the first as bad as the score indicates?
-
Not able to watch today, how's the team look?
-
On the plus side Monster played in 2 games before getting injured this time.
-
Exactly and with 6 min left in the Pens game, Pav finally started to look like himself.

Team bus breaks down, and players are forced to hail cabs. http://msn.foxsports.com/buzzer/story/canucks-players-hail-cabs-after-team-bus-breaks-down-031414

The only player that genuinely needs a rest is Kronwall. But since the playoffs start on Wednesday that should give the rest of the team plenty of rest.

Damn you Shanny, did it have to be the Leafs? I used to like you.
