We need the angry mule to show up tonight or Gus will get run at all game.

The picture of Rask was scary.

I wish Putin would Annex Eddie from NBC.

With how bad the Isles have been, their play by play guy probably spends most of the game drinking like Bob Uecker in Major League.
-
Aah... But that implies he has a mind to begin with.
-
This is far-fetched anyway, no GM in their right mind would make a trade like that. Except maybe Gillis although I'm not sure he is in his right mind.
-
If the CBA or the by-laws don't specifically allow the league to block a trade, couldn't an arbitrator overturn it? In the Ovechkin for a 7th rounder example, Washington could argue that if they clear his salary of the books, they might be better equipped to field a competitive team. I'm sure the league would attempt to block it, but not sure that they have the legal standing to do so; if a team would take the matter to an arbitrator. But like I said this all hypothetical.

I'm so happy you decided to grace us with your cheery disposition,

GUS! I'M NOT YOUR FATHER... BUT I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND!

I'm ok with Dats not coming back tonight, he's been out so long might as well take another couple days.
-
Hey, happy b-day. Let's hope the Wings will give us all a present.
-
Thank you, with the amount of doom and gloom on here lately, you'd think Armageddon was upon us.
-
Not sure why, but I'm feeling pretty good about this game, as long as we cut out the stupid penalties I think we'll be right there with Boston.

The ref is Raiden from Mortal Kombat?

Russian judge: 5.0 Crosby: What?! That was at least an 8.0! Gary do something! Neal:

"What more could he do to embarrass himself?"~ Brodeur When asked about Avery and his time on dancing with the stars. Avery had some things to say on twitter regarding Marty's personal life and the state of NJ. Sean Avery ✔ @imseanavery Follow Embarrassing is when u sleep with the #Nanny and get caught Full story: http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/martin-brodeur-and-sean-avery-spar-again-this-time-over-avery-s-short-lived-dancing-turn-032714 I personally would like Avery to shut the f*** up. Marty is a future Hall of Famer and Avery is a 33 year old-has been and an F list celebrity.

I'm with you, I hate the whole thing with wild cards switching divisions. Why complicate the situation?

Ovechkin isn't a bum in fact he's an elite scorer, but that's all he is. He's the biggest diver in the NHL, he doesn't play defense, and let's face it he sometimes doesn't even play offense, but he's always a threat to score. And I can only dream of the kind of production he would have with Pav as his center. The guy is 28 years old and it's time he got his act together. Somebody needs to grab him by the collar, pull him aside and tell him bluntly that his overall play is not acceptable for a player with his abilities. I just don't think Washington has that veteran player who commands respect, a guy that can get into Ovechkin's face and set him straight. Nor do the Caps apparently have a coach who has the balls to call him out. Ovie's scoring will get him to the HOF, but there will always be a, what if, attached to his name.

Nice! so is that what a Helm and Bertuzzi love child would look like?

I would like to state that anyone that posts an April fools joke regarding injuries today is a gigantic d-bag. After the year we've had injuries should no longer be allowed to be a part of any joke.

Let me preface what I'm about to say,so no one gets the wrong idea, by stating that I'm a huge fan of Glendening and hope that he continues to get a chance to develop with the Red Wings. Glendening is a good fourth liner with potential, that tries every shift, but listing him 8th in competitiveness out of all the players Babs has coached is the essence of Hyperbole. Now I'm not Babs and I can't flat out state that his views are wrong, but how do you quantify a players competitiveness and what makes Glendening more competitive then say, Draper or Cleary? I'm not disputing at all that Glendening is ultra competitive just the fact that after only seeing him for half a season Babs has anointed Glendening as the 8th best competitor he's ever coached, it's too much too soon. If Babs said, "Glendening is one of the most competitive and hard working players I've ever coached" that would be just fine, but IMHO he took it a step too far; which made it seem like an overstatement from a coach that has fallen in love with a player.

Its a nice sentiment but I think it's a bit of an overstatement.
