I'm all for getting Kesler, I guess the wild card would be Weiss. No, we're all in this together.

That's the reason I think a natural winger would be a better fit. If we were to get Kesler, some players would have to play out of position and not sure how guys would react.

I'm sure you could put him on the Wing, but he adds such a big advantage at center I would rather try Weiss on the Wing.

It works if Pav and Z are on the same line. Weiss on the 3rd line or any line for that matter would work if he is better then early in the season. I hope he was bad because of the injury, but I really don't know what to think of him.

The biggest obstacle to that is Weiss. If by some miracle Holland ends up getting him, what happens to Weiss? The guy is making a ton of money and putting him on the fourth line would be a waste.

Stop putting words in my mouth. And no faceoffs aren't the most important, I'm saying he's a better fit not that Kesler sucks. Vanek is a better goal scorer which is what this team badly needs. The Wings also have plenty penalty killers which isn't as big of a priority. And Vanek is plenty good on the PP. Kesler is a good player that I've had my eye on for awhile, but he seems to dislike the Wings and a lot of the factors you described will add to his cost. Plus I'd be more then shocked if he ends up being traded. Yeah I got the Sarcasm.

I never said there is no way to determine who's a better skater, what I said was that there is no tangible evidence that Kesler was a more superior skater. But moving on.

Kesler is a center and with Weiss returning he would have to play the Wing, which I'm sure he can; do but that takes away from his face off advantage. I just think that Vanek probably more then Moulson would be a more natural fit. Having said that if Holland could get Kesler I would be over the moon.

Realistically nothing will happen, and in Hollands eyes a hockey trade is trading a 7th rounder for a depth defenceman.

I think we're all getting kinda hung up on Kesler, he's a good player but isn't a perfect fit. A guy like Moulson or Vanek would fit better. IMHO

Neal is a tool. But I don't like Franzen slashing players( he did it to one of the Ottawa players late in the game, don't remember who) in the back of the leg and running away either. Franzen shouldn't be fighting especially after all his concussions, but he should cool it with the cheap shots too.

Were we arguing? But you're right about it being objective that's why different scouts say different things about the same player. But whatever. To me Kesler seems like the perfect fit for Boston, he has just enough ****** in him.

I could say the same to you. Why is it you get so defensive if someone disagrees with? Your opinion is that Kesler is a better skater mine is that he's not, if you have proof that he's better I'd be more then happy to agree with you.

Kesler is faster but not a better skater.

Z is a superior skater. But Kesler is better at face offs.

Sounds like Craig MacTavish assured Hemsky that he will be traded at the deadline, and the Wings seem to be interested. Any takers? I think he'd be an interesting fit.

If ignoring the price, Kesler and Edler would be my preferance.

Come on, upgrading the team and selling the farm are completely different things. Sometimes a small move would work especially at the deadline. But Kenny never seems to find that "hockey trade" that he likes so much. Those don't exist anymore, teams want the moon for their players and rarely are there win win trades. Someone always ends up being screwed. The Hockey trade is Hollands White Whale. f*** it must be late, I've started quoting Moby Dick.

I agree it's not Hollands Style. But the Stuart trade was an anomaly, Holland rarely gets that lucky especially lately.
