Yes. Like Maltby's 2-way contract determined the amount of PAY if he could be sent down to Grand Rapids (he had to clear waivers first) and if he did clear waivers and was sent down, he would not have to be subjected to re-entry waivers if recalled.

Sorry, your retarded signature mesmorized me and caused me to leave out the word "pay" after determines.

Again, incorrect. Why do people keep posting on here like they are experts. First and foremost, the contract type (1-way or 2-way) determines if a player can be sent to the AHL. Secondly a players experience also determines whether or not he can be sent to the AHL. Thirdly, the rules for players coming over from Europe dictate if a player can be sent to the AHL. No movement clauses protect a player from being waived and being traded -genrelly requiring the player's permission. A no trade clause only protects a player from being traded but not waived. You will find zero contracts written with no movement clauses when a player has AHL eligability (for conditioning purposes if a player is returning from an injury) because the player generally doesn't have that type of bargaining power yet.

CBA rules prohibit the team that placed a succesful re-entry waiver claim to trade the player they obtained for upto one year. Nabokov could only be traded to another team if he was placed on waivers again and nobody claimed him. The Islanders would also require his permission to be moved. People are reading and exploring too much into this, he's not coming to Detroit.

100% incorrect. The December 15th date is only relevant to sending a player down to the AHL who comes over from Europe.

I'm not biased or anything with my name here, but to say Rafalski is rewarded with his high point total simply for playing with Lidstrom is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Or to even say that Kronwall would have similar stats if he played with Lidstrom as if Kronwall earns all his points by himself on the 2nd line. First of all a defenseman's points generally are an indication of how well he can pass and quarterback the offense -unless he also scores goals. It is also a testiment as to how offensive minded, or offensively gifted a team is. Unless Lidstrom is picking up the first or second assist on any Rafalski goal, or assisted goal that point is stupid and moot. If Kronwall QB'd the 1st line PP or was on the ice with the top line more often then maybe he'd reap the rewards, maybe not. Secondly, Rafalski/Lidstrom are paired to go against the opposition's top line. The Wings are also deep in quality defensmen this year so it's not like it's just Rafalski and Lidstrom shutting down the other team -it's a team effort. However, Babcock would find his way out of Detroit quicker than Kwame will if he put Kronwall and Lids up against Crosby and Malkin. Lastly, Rafalski is a generous 5'10". Of course he's going to get out-muscled if he tried to be that type of defenseman. Thats why you saw him with Stevens or White in Jersey more often than not. However, Larry Robinson at times liked to use him and Neidermayer together which is a very similar pairing to him and Nick now. He brings finesse, skating skill and passing to the table. You don't find him out of position much, and he takes away lanes and passes. The Devils didn't do that terrible last year either without a Stevens or a Neidermayer and Rafalski having to rely on a supporting cast of Martin, Hale, Matvichuk..etc.

do a google search for "proxy" or "proxy host." generally you'll get a few good hits near the top. you can then visit those websites and there are usually menus full of available proxys to use. im not sure where you need the proxy to be located, but generally they will list the country of origin next to the url. click on the url for the proxy and it should take you to that site, where you can enter the url of the address you are trying to visit.
