I try to ignore the annoying love for Sid and enjoy watching Lids and Ralf shut him down.
-
I'm watching it right now and it's perfect.
-
No. myp2p.eu I believe the VS direct feed will be back up tonight. That will be the best quality you can get.
-
Nice.
-
What the hell was Talbot doing? That was just awful.
-
This is no surprise. This really is an awesome matchup for the league. There are 5 of the world's top ten playing.
-
Meh, it happens all the time. Wings fans don't seem to like journalists unless they're blowing us.
-
For me, saying the Pens have the edge defensively means he loses credibility.

Lol. ESPN and hockey shouldn't be in the same sentence really.

Yeah Detroit's pretty great - but Melbourne is the sporting capital of the world in my very biased opinion: Australian Open tennis grand slam Formula One GP Olympics AFL Grand Final every year MotoGP Melbourne Cup carnival (horse racing) Boxing Day test (cricket) Rip Curl Pro It's a decent domestic and international resume for a baby city in Australia.

Oh yeah our D was pretty close to perfect but that's a misleading stat. It wasn't like the 7 shots in 2 periods we used to allow against the Blue Jackets. I dunno, I can't explain it with stats or anything but it just seemed like there was more pressure on Ozzy than that.

Apparently they didn't videotape the Giants before the Superbowl.

I think we more or less did sit on the lead. A lucky goal to Cleary and a PPG with 12 secs left gives the false impression we continued to attack but the fact is, Pittsburgh was applying sustained pressure on us for 7 or so minutes in the 3rd and we defended madly. We iced the puck several times in that period and blocked what felt like dozens of shots. Ozzy was a brick wall too, which helped.

There are plenty of threads to talk about Crosby crying. Why here?
-
That is an incredible stat. Seriously.

Has Kronwall Been Our Best Defenseman In These Playoffs?

He's been pretty close to Lidstrom but not better. That in itself is very impressive. Very happy with Nik. -
On TSN they said the winner of game 1 has won the series 78% of the time since game 7's were introduced. 53 of 68. They must be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

I saw the video. Sid didn't whine at all. He said nothing wrong. The fact is, he could speak German in a presser and people would be annoyed by the sound of what he was saying and call him a whiner. He's Sid and people hate him. Can't do anything about it, but he's an okay guy.

Mr. Samuelsson, I'm very pleased with you right now. Please continue to pressure when you do not have the puck. You won't always score a few lucky goals but you will force mistakes from your opponent. Now, don't get me wrong. I will continue to swear in frustration at you during games when it's totally uncalled for, but I am more than happy to be shut up by your play again and again and again. So think of me with contempt and shut my whining ass up. Yours begrudgingly, The Dog.

It hasn't worked in weeks. I think it's gone for good.
-
Man, that's great. What a hero.

I saw that ad months ago during the football playoffs.

This is great news. He was without a doubt the worst person they could've gone with of the speculated candidates. I'm really glad they chose him.

Dispelling some myths: the Pittsburgh Penguins

Why would they? Draper will take that line, dude. That's just common sense. -

Yeah but our stars aren't kids. The way Therrien has handled them has been excellent. It's a much tougher job than Sather had with Gretzky, Messier, Coffey and Kurri. Regardless, I'm not going to say who the better coach is because I don't know. You'd really need to have seen both of them first hand during games, in the rooms, in practise, etc. to be a proper judge. I'll take the easy option - they're both excellent.
