Yeah, Hasek was awesome last year. Our team was pretty average last season with all in the injuries and he gave us a great chance to win. If the skaters gave him as many 3+ leads last year as they are this year, we'd be going for our second straight. Nevermind. Right now, Ozzie is on track to get then Conn Smythe followed by Zetterberg.

Well Franz is great but he's no Mario. He doesn't really make plays and get assists. I don't know how many but it seemed like a fair few of his goals came on special teams too, so probably a half his goals were scored without Flip and Sam on the ice.

He couldn't be riding those coattails very effectively because he did nothing with him and his stats aren't really impressive in any way.

No, that's just not true. It's because there was a chance we would get the Hasek we got last playoffs. That was better than Ozzie has been this playoffs. And that's pretty bloody good. That's just my opinion. Anyway, don't have such a short memory when it comes to Dom. It's not like we have watched him stink it up for years.

Snap! Exactly what I was thinking. Today during the game I couldn't stop thinking about how much I loved the balance of Huds, Helm and DMac. They're as good as a fourth line gets. What are our opponents supposed to do about this Detroit offense?

Did you see ANY of this? Like one second? This post makes you seem very unintelligent. Let's break it down. Almost everyone has admitted Ozzie shouldn't have done what he did. It wasn't as bad as Ribeiro but still wrong. Hence, his fine. Well while it doesn't excuse Ribeiro's actions, provocation does matter. Any judge will tell you that. He didn't do that at all. The Red Wings won't retaliate. Have you seen Detroit play since Mike Babcock took over?

I don't know. That article seems a little hypocritical as it appears to be somewhat biased itself. I think when writing an article about someone's biases you really should make it sternly objective and make points for both sides and then summarise your contention. Pat Caputo's okay but I don't like this article too much. I liked it at first (because it praised the Wings), but there were too many little cheap shots at Cherry and Melrose to take it too seriously.

You don't necessarily have to jab someone to make it a butt-end. Osgood purposefully making an action to check Ribeiro or attempt to with the shaft of his stick is a butt-end. That's all I was saying.

That's a compliment, really. Italy won the World Cup with some of that magnificent acting. Of course, the old saying still stands: Italians do it better.

Cherry really doesn't bash the Wings. Any criticism he gives us is usually pretty fair. "The Wings don't retaliate." "The Wings don't play play with much passion." "I think the Wings will win the Cup." "Detroit is my favourite city in America beside Boston." The way some people react to him makes no sense.

Why did they allow a goal to stand after looking at the replay and seeing it went in under the side of the goal. That really discredits the whole tournament. I mean, seriously.

Yeah I have but without a doubt not close to the extent many here at LGW would have being in Australia. By your description, which I don't necessarily disagree with, Malkin is NOT a dirty player.

No Osgood put his stick out there in an attempt to impede Ribeiro's progress. Ozzie has even said this. If he had not, there would have been no contact so you're wrong.

Maltby is dirty. Does he not belong? If anyone says he isn't I'll puke. He consistently gives little cheap shots to get under his opponents' skin. He doesn't hurt anyone, just their game. I have no problems with this. He's good for his team and bad for his opponents.

The Flyers have had some pretty tough calls on them in this game. You have to respect the fact that they have a tie game here. I'd be more concerned about winning the Cup if the Flyers beat the Pens in this series.
