Okay well, I've been saying for a few months now that San Jose is not a great team and will achieve nothing again in the playoffs despite what the media says. They also have played awful hockey against Dallas so far. Anaheim was also very crap against Dallas. Anaheim is also nowhere near as good as they were last year so your comparison to us not beating them is useless. We will dominate Dallas if we play them.

If you're referring to players coming frequently coming up from minors and sent down (eg. Jimmy Howard) then the teams's cap hit for that player is calculated based on the amount of days the player is on the active roster. So basically it's the average salary multiplied by the days on the active roster divided by total days in the contract (187 days). So Howard's cap hit is: $733,333 x 32 days on active roster / 187 = $125,490. Does that answer the question? Aloha

Ridiculous trashing of Thornton. He has not been that bad at all. To say he's never played past April 5th is stupid and ignorant. Clearly you just hate him. Joe could be better but he has been nowhere near as bad as you're saying. He's done as much if not more for SJ than Zetterberg has done for us. And Z's my favourite player.

Clearly they need him to perform. IMO he's the main reason they got past Boston. He was really ******* good with the exception of one game.

Perhaps I'm being too simple but he does look like a tired man. I don't think it should be an excuse but it looks that way.

I don't feel it's necessary to split Z and D from the start. If Quenneville concenrates solely on them - chances are Mule, Flip, Draper, Hudler, etc. will do some damage. Not to mention our infinitely potent defense.
