Wow, $124m. We all know where to go if we need a loan. I can't say I'm surprised though. Ovechkin's a gun.
-
I can't believe Henrik Sedin got a jersey instead of Daniel. Has anyone seen him shoot? It doesn't happen often but when it does, you can see why he seldom shoots. Henrik's a very good player and all but if you're gonna choose one, you choose Daniel. That's my opinion anyway. Rafalski, Ribeiro and Leclaire all got jibbed also. And whoever said Cammalleri.. uh... no. The guy has like 6 goals in his last 30 games.
-
Agreed. The Wild were a very hard-working and well-coached team tonight.
-
Minnesota deserved 2 points tonight. Good on em.
-
Gees Backstrom should've had that. Good stuff Dallas!
-
Not blaming him but is it just me or does Ozzy seem a little flat?
-
So many words. I just thought I'd highlight the ones worth reading.
-
I didn't like that ***** that kept pulling his opponents jerseys over their heads and then wailed on them. Then he threw his arms up in the air to the crowd like he'd just won the world heavyweight championship. Hopefully soon he gets mauled in a fair fight.
-
Because the only thing he's done to get them there is start Roberto Luongo. That's why. I can think of half a dozen coaches that deserve the rcognition before him.
-
Vigneault will definfitely not get a nomination. Why would someone think that? Andy Murray should at least get a nom as well as Brent Sutter.
-
Hehe. True. If the nominees were announced today, I really think Zetterberg is the only one who has even a slight chance at being nominated.
-
Gees, you really are all about the numbers aren't you? Cole is nothing without Staal. And the reason I would leave Cullen, Whitney and Stillman is I don't believe they would really help the Wings. Whitney has already proven that. Stillman annoys me because he will score 4 goals and get 2 assist one night and then not get a point for a week while his team gets pounded. Who wants a player that can only play well when the rest of the team does?
-
I sincerely doubt he can make this team better. I love Mac and he'll always have a spot in every Wings fans heart but I really think he's done.
-
Nice post, but I still maintain it was not a breakout year offensively. The reason I say this is that I was under the impression that a breakout year was one where you put up numbers you never have previously in your career. In his mid-twenties Brind'Amour was consistently having 80-90 pt seasons. So I don't think it was a breakout year.
-
Agreed. Of the seven forwards mentioned by GMRwings I would only take Brind'Amour, Staal and maybe Williams. The numbers Cullen, Whitney, Cole and Stillman put don't reflect their true value as a player. Needless to say if their numbers continue into next season, Rutherford will have some cap issues because Kevin Lowe will offer them all $7m per.

My bad on Lehtinen, I didn't realise he was out that long. I just remember him playing well for a while before he was injured. But seriously Mack, you seem like a pretty sharp guy when it comes to hockey but I couldn't disagree more on your view of who gets awarded a Selke. I can only think of one player in the past 10-15 years that fits that description - Draper. Brind'Amour's first Selke came on a season where he did pick his game up offensively but it was hardly a breakout year. Nevertheless, only a Wings fan after a 1-0 win would say Datsyuk has a shot at the Selke. He's gotta do a lot more than what he's done so far. He's no Fedorov yet.

Mate, the Canes are a joke. Admittedly, much of the laughing at them comes from their D but still, come on. They are ridiculously hot and cold. I prefer forwards that can tie the game or break a deadlock in the last 5 minutes than those that can score the 4th, 7th and 9th goal against the Leafs in a 7 goal rout. The Hurricanes are nothing.
-
While Datsyuk has been excellent this season in both ends I'm pretty sure Z, Brind'amour, Draper, Lehtinen and Pandolfo will all be considered before Pav.
-
Who cares? I haven't even thought about it. I've only been thinking about getting 16 wins in the postseason.
-
On FSND they said Osgood was voted MVP by the fans followed by Datsyuk, Lidstrom and then Zetterberg. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I remember it.

Visit this site. I find it very handy living in Australia and getting even less than yourself.

The Ducks still won't be as good as they were last season. And we're better.
-
Both captains will be Swedes.
-
Well it's not like he's going to rant and rave and call Hatcher a pig on TV.

Confirmed: 12 year, $69m - an average of $5.75m per. Mike Richards is a great player though. He will be their captain one day.
