:whoa: Way to go, Hank! Point scoring streak?
-
I don't think you understand our team that year.. lol.. they didn't win a Cup. They achieved nothing.
-
I don't care how many times you post the same thing... Crosby for Zetterberg is a good trade. Crosby is a baby and the best player in the world. Z is 27 and one of the best in world. Any GM in the league would take that trade. Don't be such a homer. And this is coming from someone whose favourite current player is Hank. The reason I'm being this honest is I know it will never happen. Henrik will always be a Wing and that's fine by me. But Crosby is better. End of story.

See! The Sens are nothing!! 1-4 loss to the Caps. On to another small discussion: I gained a tonne of respect for Alfredsson after the Cup finals. He seemed to be the ONLY Senators player (aside from Comrie) that cared they were going to lose. He was easily their best player and would've given his life for the Cup. Heatley was pathetic. I don't hate Alfie anymore. Still, you gotta boo him when he's in your building.

Wow! First the Lindros thread... now this. You're either high, extraordinarily dumb or you have never watched hockey before. If it's the first, let me know where you get your weed from. That must be some good s***.

Of course they can break the wins record. The Eastern conference is pathetic. 11 of the top 14 teams in the league right now are Western conference teams. Nothing anyone can say will convince me otherwise. The parity between conferences is a joke. People say the Wings benefit from playing 32 games in a weak division... well the Senators play 72 games in a weak conference where most of the teams are worse than Chicago, Columbus, Nashville or St. Louis. I watched the Sen v. Leafs game today and I was blown away at how pathetic the Leafs were. They gaveaway some of the worst turnorvers I've seen in a while. I'm shocked they only scored 5. If there's one thing I learnt from watching that game - it's that no team in the West should be afraid of Ottawa.

The biggest problem is getting his balls off Don Cherry's chin. Gotta do that first.

It's amazing. This post really looks like it's defending Sammy. Very contradictory I must say. Seems to me that if he had 22 assists in his 11 games you would still break those down and try to argue why 20 of them don't matter. I'm sure Samuelsson will be dealt with accordingly when Samuelsson becomes a problem. I know that's just not gonna cut it for all the Sammy-haters out there, but I guess that's the downside of having a coach who isn't a moron.

Yeah the Ducks certainly were brutal. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Caps were worse though. It's like they were aiming for the logo on Ward's chest. What's up with all these shutouts? It seems like scoring AND shutouts are on the rise. How does that work?

Whoa! :whoa: Advice: arguments hold more weight when you refrain from swearing and attacking people. Good points though. I'm sure many would agree. Now you settle down right now boy!
-
Whatever. It's common knowledge Anaheim fans are among the classiest and most knowledgable hockey fans in the U.S. Recent surveys have shown that now over 45% of Duck fans know what icing is. Furthermore, Duck fans are probably the loudest and most excited fans in the league. Where else but the Pond would you hear hundreds of people scream and celebrate when the see the puck hit the side of the net.

What about Anaheim?

Hudler needs to adapt to the teams needs, if he doesn't he becomes superfluous. He's very gifted offensively (which is great) but we need another dimension from him. If Babcock wants to extract that from him by taking him out of his comfort zone and forcing him to be accountable than I fully agree with that. This can only be good for Hudler as a player. Zetterberg, Yzerman and Fedorov are/were all two-way players. Wouldn't be a bad thing if Hudler joined that list. And if he does not pass this 'experiment', it wouldn't hurt to trade him. Losing Hudler wouldn't affect this team in any way. Harsh but fair. Sad but true.

Sounds like he's saying the points available when you play Detroit are very elusive.
-
Good work Eva!! Your lack of belief in Leclaire has fired him up even more. Shutout number 5!!
-
Ilya Kovalchuk scores 3 goals in the 3rd period tonight..

I guess what I'm saying is it's much more a case of Detroit's skaters giving their goalie a great chance to get the W. No-one would ever say that about the BJs. While Columbus are improved, the still have many flaws. Since stats mean more to you - Detroit allows 22.3 shots per game as opposed to Columbus' 28.0. That means a goalie in Det needs to keep a SV% of just above .900 (which is expected in NHL) to allow two or fewer goals. That is not the case anywhere else. The way Babcock has this team playing is a goalie's dream. Well, not the opposing goalie. There can be a fine line between allowing 1 goal and allowing 4 or 5. I know that sounds stupid but I'm serious. Let's be honest, Calgary was very unlucky to not have at least 3 on the board against us the other night. If the puck does NOT bounce our way those few times, does that mean Ozzie had a bad game? Does that make him inconsistent? Who cares if he let in 5 goals or whatever a few times this season? These games happen. No goalie has given his team more of a chance to win games than Pascal Leclaire. Anyway, Osgood has been great and if he continues his play I'll be ecstatic.
-
You should watch games more and stats less.
-
The reason games like that happen is because they have average teams in front of them. The reason these teams are doing so much better than they were last year and SHOULD be doing this year is because of the stellar play of their goalies. Consistency counts yes, but your argument does not prove Biron and Leclaire haven't been consistent. Leclaire was the second best player in the league in my opinion and I'm sure many other peoples. Osgood been terrific thus far in his few games but to say he's been better than Leclaire is homer talk.
-
I can't believe no-one has put in Sakic.
-
Ease up turbo. Pascal Leclaire has hands down been the best goalie so far this season. If it wasn;t for Zetterberg he'd be the best player. You also couldn't ignore the efforts of Biron and Backstrom before he was injured.
-
Well aren't you just a barrel of laughs. If it makes you feel any better he didn't mean to do it.
-
Lots of Crosby hate. I guess that's a given when you become the best player in the world as a teenager.
-
Can anyone explain to me why the Leafs have been so pathetic at home so far this year? I haven't looked at their record but I'm sure this is like the thrid or fourth bad loss so far at the ACC. Funnily enough, on the road they seem pretty competitive. Like a playoff team.
