I love how it's gotten to the point where it's literally easier to list players not coming to Detroit than those rumoured to be coming.

I would answer yes to both questions. Your statistical comaprisons are severed flawed and anyone with a brain should be able to see it. Just FYI, it took Curtis McElhinney 19 NHL appearances for Calgary to earn his first career win. Osgood's Detroit counterparts don't seem to have that much trouble getting frequent W's. I wonder why....

Why Detroit will remain better than Chicago: Brent Sopel on $2.3m while Andreas Lilja is on $1.2m Brian Campbell on $7.1m while Brian Rafalski is on $6m Cristobal Huet on $5.6m while Chris Osgood is on $1.4m I could probably name a few more.

I'd welcome him. I wonder what might've been if Detroit had a player like that in the playoffs. There's no question Dallas Drake was a big part of our '08 win.

Jay Bouwmeester's a great player. We'd need to let go of Hossa and a defenseman though. There's no value to having 5 top three Dmen in the team because it will cost us guys like Hudler and Sammy and leave us unnecessarily thin up front.

I'm not blaming Osgood or saying the goal was soft, but I don't see it that way. Kronwall took away the pass and forced Talbot to shoot. If you watch a replay, shooting was his only option. Nik did all you can ask of a defenseman when on a 1 on 2 breakaway.
